Arum has decided to compromise and will accept a 50/50% split but still does not believe Floyd is seriously interested in risking his unbeaten record against the extremely dangerous, primed, young and confident Pacquiao. “There’s no chance that you are going to see Mayweather with a live opponent. That's how it's supposed to be, 50/50 or no fight. Wait till Mayweather/Marquez and Cotto/Pacquiao are done with, the results of those two fights should bring the serious discussions.
With the recent development of the Mayweather-Marquez being postponed and that Arum is now giving a hint that he would welcome a Pac-Floyd fight, I think this fight will happen this year. Money talks..
Boxing is very much alive these days. I am already sticking my neck in the Cotto Pacquiao fight in Nov. l4, now here comes Arum opening the possibility of Pac-Floyd. I'll take whatever comes. They're both good and exciting..... as long as Pac is in the equation.
50/50 is what Ive said from the start.... I`ll lose respect for life of the man that tries to get out of this by asking for more than 50/50.
The postponement of Mayweather/Marquez might encourage Pac to take on Cotto. So far Mayweather/Marquez is postponed to September and Cotto/Pac supposedly on November. So most likely the winners of both fights meet up early next year.
