You simply cannot expunge the massive skidmark of Andy Rice Pudding Jr knocking him around the ring. Such an average heavyweight, and being battered by him, and clearly scared of him in the rematch.
I think not so bad but not great yeah. Not always. Vs Pulev he had gassed after 3 rounds, then re - gassed and then again re gassed. Sorry, I'm older than Pulev and I will not gas vs Pulev after 3 rounds. This is what this is here in reality. While he not always gasses, some fights he was more fresh even in full 12 rounders. It is really difficult to guess. Yeah, but who excels here? Boxers still usually had fought and will fight vst Klits era leftovers. Ppl will claim how bad Klits era was. Maybe it was bad era, but then damn, why boxing should today use their leftovers as stepping stones and to earn money? Chisora, Povetkin, Takam, etc and etc boxers. Yeah, this era is better era cos these were older and easier to beat rather than in bad Klits era. Battered by Povetkin Takam is example. Next: spanked by 40 y.o uncle Vitali Chisora appeared enough good to fight vs him even for Usyk and Parker recently, not alone earlier for other prospects: Haye, Fury II, Whyte, Parker and Usyk, the same Pulev still is good, while 39 y.o, yeah, in bad era 33 y.o undefeated Pulev had been sparked by bad 38 y.o Wlad.
Well, but A.J at least box. Yeah, Pulev was for him like matchup. What did others: when Wilder had last win? Fury is good and likes me, but he is almost inactive? They even didn't had Hunter vs Hrgovic. Who there is active in HW? It is stagnant division, people blame Chisora cos his bad record, while he recently at least had : Parker, Usyk. What we had saw from Fury and Wilder or Whyte ( geriatric opponent in Pov's ghost on rematch clauses does not counts here at all )? Since 2020 th?
You also reckon Tua would beat Lewis too kiwi ? (lol) Hypothetically Fury (could) beat a prime Lewis but would he ? Probably not. Just because he outboxed a gunshy past it Klitschko who had no inside game and minimal combination punching ability and beat up a one trick pony hypejob does not mean he would be a favorite against Lennox Lewis. Lennox Lewis would be in seek and destroy mode against Fury like he was against all the taller guys he faced and Fury would not be able to keep Lewis off of him. Lewis would hunt him down and fire off those uppercuts in the pocket like he did against Vitali, Grant, and Akinwande Let Fury build up his resume by actually getting in the ring with and beating Anthony Joshua and dominate this Era like Lewis did his then we'll talk boxing
Now, now KIA. Let’s not detract from the fact that da boogeyman Ortiz is the hardest hitting heavyweight in the last 60 years “Pudding” Ruiz can’t have heavy hands, he hasn’t fought Wilder yet. So he’s C+ at best. This forum, honestly. Bunch of ****ing idiots. I guess we should also remember that these same groupies follow a This content is protected for Baseball , but only host American teams
TBH I havent voted at all because he just seems to be polarising to people - engendering hate or fanboy-adulation Some people slam him saying he is terrible - citing the loss to Ruiz as proof - just watch the 3rd round again and tell me how Ruiz didnt get knocked out by the big right hand?! Incredible. Also its clear as day AJ is scrambled by the high shot to the upper temple and never recovers. Full props to Ruiz but its hardly 'proof' of AJ being so poor - esp after AJ then reinvented himself to school an admittedly poor Ruiz in the rematch (which everybody I seem to recall said before couldn't happen - and that he would get sparked) Then others say the total opposite - he's a monster- unstoppable (?!) etc etc - which is just hyperbole really I think the truth is in the middle He is improving - he's a huge guy who will never be the fleetest of foot - but he can bang - and he appears to be a student of the game who wants to learn and improve I enjoy his fights I think in a way because he is flawed - next Saturday should be really fascinating
This is the guy that said Pulev was the best HW in Europe (before he signed Fury) and said prior to AJ fight that Pulev would beat him. Just chatting his usual senile BS about the HW with by far the best resume in the divison.
Lol Bob so salty. I bet if Joshua said he wanted to sign with Arum he'd see all those dollar signs and then suddenly be very excited about Joshua. Joshua was probably overrated by some prior to the Ruiz loss, most on here seem to have him ranked below Fury now and the vast majority wouldn't compare him favourably to prime Wlad or Lewis, so at least on here I don't think he's overrated.
He's a world class heavy of this generation. At the moment if he retired tomorrow you would talk about how great he was... If he beats, Usyk, Fury and maybe one of the up and coming heavy's who ever that is at the time then you might start to but I don't think he will make it.
