yea thats what i heard as well, but i suppose its all hearsay at this point.



cotto has become one of my favourite fighters cos of his style but also his personality so i hope this all doesnt affect him in the long run


im racking my brain for a trainer in the upper echelons of the sport who could train him, but they all seem to have reasons why they cant. but if hes prepared to travel for say 10 weeks i think the improvement will be noticable. a couple of subtle tweak makes him a hard man to beat

 

100% Agree. Lewis has been training all his life, but here comes Manny and makes him an even better fighter. Cotto I believe is only 29 and has much more to learn. At least his defence is getting better by ducking bricks/cinder block. Believe it or not, but he is still a work in progress. Roach, Manny, or Naz would be good. Manny yells a lot so I don't know.

 

If Pac gets his ass handed to him by Hatton, then there will be no more 147 fights for him and Roach would be a good fit.

Relentless is correct....the problem was that Cotto had already planned and announced it before conferring with Evangelista.
He found out in the gym and confronted Cotto....he expressed his displeasure and opposition to the idea of which Cotto told him..." I'm the BOSS here and you are fired "
That is what set Evangelista off....he felt disrespected and humiliated...

I like what Eddie Mustafa Muhamed has done with Chad Dawson. He would be a good fit. Cotto needs someone that can actually formulate a game plan around the type of fighter he is. Richardson would be the best but then there's the scenario of a possible Shane/Miguel rematch after this fight so I don't know if it could happen but he's the best man for the job. Cotto is better off without his Uncle. He did not recieve any worthwhile instruction during the Margarito fight.
