Daddy just confirmed he's fighting Manfredo Jr. Pity Barker didn't get the opportunity.

 

So he isn't a champion at all unless he was one of those guys who made the belt with some class wins.

 

Hang your head in shame for accepting a defence against a top 20 boxer. Ideally, champions should only defend against top 5 fighters. Remember, a top 5 fighter could be as low as number 20 if you consider there is 4 top orgs. At a stretch top 10, especially when number 6 can be someone like Spada. Top 15 has to be the limit.

Our standards and expectations really have to be higher.

 

Stop being such a ****ing drama queen. :roll: We don't live in an ideal world. How many champions defend contantly against top 5 ranked boxers? Less to mind as a first defence. Get real. Forget about the organisations rankings, both are top 20 in my rankings and that's what I meant by top 20. When you put it into perspective it's not too bad a fight. Better than Sturms and Pirog's recent defences.

 

Comes across as drama online but if you saw me, you'd realise I'm just making a point.

Nevertheless, world champions should be fighting top fighters.

Darren Barker is top 20 and yet not a genuine world class proven fighter. Manfredo you might be able to swing as a former title contender etc

Sturm has relegated himself to a nobody and Pirog will remain unknown to the average fan unless he has big fights.
