Boy your a sharp one..Are you having a hard time following??? Cotto and Pac is a easy fight for Arum to make because he has nothing to lose. Arum wouldnt let Cotto fight Williams, and he isnt going to let Pac fight Floyd. If they fight each other he still has the winner no matter who it is. Once again it has nothing to do with floyd but to do with Arum being a snake. Funny thing is guys like you love to pick and choose which on of his comments you want to believe.

Kk. Let's see Floyd fight Williams in the next 10 years. Maybe then you'll be right.

    Right On Brother!!! :D

That's the game Arum plays ... He talks **** and when someone calls his bluff - He goes on the My guy takes 70%, you take 30% BS.

And here's the issue I have with what he stated. "Floyd only fights guys smaller than himself and they have no chance of beating Floyd"

Now its OK for Cotto, who is a genuine welterweight to fight Manny -- But If Floyd fights Manny -- He's fighting another small guy. What total hypocrisy!!!!!

Not to be a dick, but all boxing promoters are snakes and to be fair Bob Arum should not be singled out for his slithery behavior. Unfortunately, as with used car salesmen, it's the nature of the business. That being said, you're exactly right about Floyd and Arum knows this despite what he says to the contrary. The one thing where I disagree with you is where you say Arum doesn't want any of his guys fighting Money May. I beg to differ. Money May is the cash cow and Arum loves cash. He wants his guys fighting him cuz that = ka-ching! And that old sly ******* loves the paper.

Let's see any of the fighters mentioned in this thread fight Williams. Less than likely.

Arum is a crabby old man. The scary thing about Arum is nobody can say anything about it either.

If a promoter says something about it, his top fighter will get cut off from the world. If a fighter says something, you can bet he'll never fight in a meaningful TR based fight again and if a fan says it, he'll find out who that fan's favorite fighter is and block him out of any meaningful title fight.

It dont matter who floyd fights Im right. Floyd fighting Williams wont prove that Arum isnt as willing as you cats think to put his fighters in the ring with Floyd..Do yourself a favor and when you get some time google Arum and look for interveiws and you will see that the guy is full of **** and double talk.

Interesting thread on the postponement. Supposedly was 'predicted' ahead of time because of ticket sales. This only helps JMM though. If Floyd's next fight bombs.........

Err... I agree with that. He was the one mentioning Cotto not fighting Williams. However for Hudson, Mayweather is exempt from ducking Williams or anyone for that matter.

Oh yeah he would throw Clottey in the ring with Floyd in a heartbeat...Remember whent he talk about Cotto vs Williams came up and Arum said that he would never deal with Mr Williams only a few weeks later to say that Clottey wants to figth Williams and Paul didnt want that fight?? That is the stuff that Im talking about...What Arum was really saying was that Im not going to let Cotto fight Williams but Clottey can. Instead of saying that he would never deal with the guy only to throw another one of his fighters at him.

After Pacquiao & Cotto fight, Floyd will probably refuse to fight either of them. "They all beating each other...but who's beaten me?" :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

He fought De La Hoya...De La Hoya was two weight classes bigger than he is. Also, who fights people who they think can beat them? Even Sugar Ray Leonard fought Hagler when he knew the fight would go his way.

    Good old Bobfather classic there.

That was mega spin by Bob Arum. According to a few scribes, Paul Williams sent a contract to Joshua Clottey's camp and they never got a response from Team Clottey. Clottey claims the contract never reached him or else he'd sign it...so either they didn't send it to Williams' camp or Arum got it and threw it in his circular filing cabinet.

I DO agree with you that Arum would throw Clottey to the wolves....mainly because Clottey doesn't bring any gate and Joshua Clottey isn't one of his main pieces when it comes to the WW scene. That way he puts Clottey in a fight he can potentially win (Clottey is tough enough to push anybody and in the process robs Williams of a big WW pay day.)

Remember there's a method to this dude's madness.

Floyd isnt exempt from anything...What Im saying is that Arum is full of ****, that is what your missing. If you read what Im saying...If Arum wanted to put pressure on Floyd then he would say 50/50 and you can fight anyone of the two. Then that would be putting pressure on Floyd. But as long as he is saying stuff like 70/30, 65/35 the fights wont be made. Arum knows that floyd will take the blame and then he can move on to the next fighter. Listen to what the guy is saying..."Im not saying that fighter will beat Floyd" Arum already went down that road several times in saying that floyd would lose to his fighters and it hasnt happened.

I know the history of the Floyd Arum thing and its very real, the dont like each other, keep in mind Arum walked away from the Floyd/Oscar fight, saying that he wanted nothing to do with either of those guys they were too greedy..Now with him nothing that why would he say that a fight with Pac and Floyd would have to be 65 to 60% in favor of Pac...He knows that Floyd wont take that. say 50% and if floyd dont take then WE CAN ALL PILE ONE FLOYD. He wont do that because he knows there is a chance that Floyd would take it. Saying something once Floyd has already signed a fight isnt the same as saying it before. ala Margo/Oscar/Floyd thing.

Has Floyd said he would take 50/50?
