Well they got Khan, it only takes 1 fighter to turn it around and other fighters will follow and sign. There was a time when DK and TR was all worried as GBP were dominating, then Pac became a superstar and it all changed for TR.

If Khan is the next superstar, which is possible, then GBP will be fine. Otherwise, do they have any big prospects coming up?

GBP spend way too much in promoting Mayweathers two fights and people that fall on the hype end up felling short changed. like it or not, casual fans foot most of any sports bills. in boxing, casual fans are out for blood which Floyd can never deliver.

Abner Mares is too small to bring in big money I think and wont be a superstar. Alvarez has the potential to be a superstar but skillwise, I havent seen anything too special from him.

- I guarantee atleast 4 will be prominent fighters in the near future, top draws.

 

I think Golden Boy has a certified PPV star in Khan, so I don't see that ship sinking any time soon.

then again, having so many eggs in one basket is always a big risk

 

I have a little bit of trubble belivein anything Top Rank says about Golden Boy and anything Golden Boy asys about Top Rank.

 

I hate GBP, but i don't want them to tank. They do have a lot of good boxers in there outfit. I just dont want them to have that deal with HBO. HBO has been crap ever since it was sign. GBP needs to pay there dues like everyone else. They got handed a key to the boxing world and did not capitalize. There only sucess is Kahn if he dont get KTFO. The rest are getting old or still young. i doubt HBO resigns with them. HBO should just buy the biggest fight not stick with one promoter.

 

I doubt HBO will give out such an exclusive contract to GBP again especially after burning off so much money for lousy fights this year on GBP cards. Ortiz/Campbell $750,000 for this garbage and over $1.2 million for Berto/Hernandez.

TR looks like it also has some age problems as i can't see pac, cotto, margo hanging in much longer, but hell, arum is old a F, and most likely will sell all his guys out over the next 2 or 3 years and vanish into his scrooge cave
