Arum Believes Golden Boy Promotions is a Sinking Ship

I don't believe it. Arum overprices every ppv he has. Golden Boy will do fine if they keep signing the big fighters.

 

Ups and down true. But i don't see them getting a renew on HBO contract anytime soon which gave them power over the other promoters. Altough I don't see them going under. They will have to do things the old fashion way by creating stars and risking putting there own money to develope talent. I think the other promoters are above them at this point. But by GBP hiring one of top ranks guys was a good start. This fight Kahn has is a huge fight. If he wins, then fights anther and becomes a star. who knows. maybe HBO is stupid enough to renew.

 

I have to agree. Arum is a dick. That was just stealing from the fans. But I have to admit. Arum's last ppv was far better then most of goldenboys PPV. I enjoyed that card from top to bottom. If it was 30 buck I would have felt good about buying it.

 

Only if the get a new deal with HBO. With the way boxing sucking for the last two years I doubt it happeneds. Hell Showtime is giving them a run for there money bacause of them taking over.

Okay this is complete evidence that bob arum does not care about the sport only himself. This is the reason why we have not had good fights, because he is unwilling to have his fighters fight other fighters is goldenboy stable. This is why the mayweather fight did not happen and this is why oscar did not want margarito to be reinstated. Oscar did not want another fighter on Arums roster that could draw more than marquez. It's business but i can't stand arum and i hope his fighters start leaving him.

Yes why would the fighters leave them, they get good fights despite it being inhouse and are well payed, arum only screws the sport and the fans.
