Do you realise that you are accusing a guy who has fought Barrera twice, Morales 3 times, MArquez twice, Hatton, Oscar, Cotto, and now about to fight Clottey of taking the fans for granted, cause he couldn't make a deal with Floyd. I think that the fans are starting to take the fighters for granted.
I don't know how many times I've made this point. The people on this board make up such a small percentage of the paying public that we really don't matter that much outside this board. I'd say that 99.9%, if not higher, of the people that pay for PPV or tickets to the event have no idea this **** is even going down. They don't care. Why should they. All they want is their moneys worth in the ring. Even if many comes into the ring with a needle sticking out of his arm they'll call it a vitamin shot and the folks that pay will be happy if the fight is exciting. Jones will do a good job of getting Dallas excited about the fight. There will be civic pride in supporting the event. "Let's show the world Dallas is a great boxing town so we get more of these events!" Even people that normally wouldn't buy a ticket will show up for this event. It will be made into a happening. Arum can't see the forest for the dollar signs. :yep
