Pretty much true. I'm really not taking sides, but considering recent events, and the non-stop stream of bull**** that Williams spews, I'm inclined to give Arum's statements more merit than Goosen's.

When Margo put out that chicken**** statement recently about "fighting williams if my company puts him in front of me" at that point Paul gave up, to be honest.

Anyone with a brain can put two and two together:

    1) Arum said do not contact me anymore about a Williams-Margo fight.

    2) Margo says he'll fight Williams if his company (Arum) says so.

What does that tell any of you? That's called hiding behind your promoter.

So, Arum threatening to sue Margo to stop Margo-Williams from happening.

And then Arum telling Goosen to not contact him about anything that has to do with Williams and you believe Arum..

    Gotcha.

Arum is the one full of it.. I'm pretty sure the offer was legit.. What happens is that Arum knows that Margo will lose again if he fights Williams again.. I don't see Margarito beating Williams.. That's my opinion of course.. And with his previous cash cow (Cotto) now gone unless he gets back into the mix again some how then he of course doesn't want to lose another in Margarito..

Why did Margo get scared when Winky accepted the offer?

This makes no sense. Arum put the skids on things so that Tony could fight Cotto, but he is ducking Williams?? That's hilarious!

Winky never accepted an offer from Top Rank. However, Golden Boy Promotions did offer Margo $1.5 million to Margarito for a fight with Wright. According to Arum, that wasn't a real offer either.

Arum was going to sue Margo to stop Margo-Williams from happening.

Now, he tells Goosen not to contact him about anything to do with Williams.

A Cotto/Margarito rematch is on the way. Let's face it; you'd have to be in the ****ing room with these guys to know who really said what!

I'd have to be in the room to know that Arum was going to sue Margo to stop a Margo-Williams match? :patsch

"With the fight indefinitely postponed Williams was left with few options for the February date, which was to be broadcast on HBO’s ‘World Championship Boxing’. As potential opponents were being discussed for the freakishly tall Williams his promoter Dan Goossen was most concerned with simply keeping his fighter busy. The fighters being discussed included Zab Judah, Luis Collazo and Joshua Clottey. The task eventually fell to Carlos Quintana."

According to Dan Goosen, Clottey was available, and according Clottey, he was available. Funny, how out of that list, they opted for Quintana. And we all know what happened with that.:rofl
