It looks like Amir is finally getting one of the fights he's been after for the past few years although stylistically this is a hard match up to see ending well for him unless Manny Pacquiao turns out to be beyond shot.

For what it's worth I don't take Roach's claims of Pacquiao knocking khan out cold in sparring a whole bunch of times very seriously as it'd be ridiculously irresponsible to put one of the fighters in your stable in sparring sessions with a guy who keeps brutally putting him to sleep.

He was one of Roach's prize assets at the time so either Roach is beyond stupid or he's lying. Again.

This said I think Pac separates Amir from his senses early on ala Hatton.

Khan could make Pacquiao look old...but Khan himself is showing signs of age recently.

Crawford rehydrated to 155 for Beltran. So, probably 147.

I think it is very funny, Pacquiao coming off a defeat, injury and a little bit of a lay off.

Pacquiao and the people around him will look at Khan as a nice little fight to get back in the groove.

Khan and his delusional fans think he is at that level and deserves to mix in that sort of company.

I sort of hope it happens, although I would have preferred to see Brook effectively end Khans career, Pacquiao will do just fine.

Well his team did say he was going back down for increased speed and power, and some fans claim he can make 135 :nut

140 should be no problem (according to his team).

It is crazy. The funny thing is that even devastating KO losses can't sway their devotion. I'm not sure what it will take for them to realise he has feet of clay or more accurately a jaw of glass.

I've said this in another thread. Khan and Garcia are the best come back fights for Pac in a way that they are absolute no-hopers against Pac yet some people will think they have a chance and hype the fight which makes the fight easy and marketable at the same time. Although Garcia could be better since he's (on paper) undefeated but Khan has this enormous following behind him (I don't understand why at all) so this works too. Khan won't be able to handle Pac's power and he's not resilient at all to rise from 5+ knock downs as Algieri did.

I never said anything negative against Pac. His team said they were going back to 140 for increased speed and power, his fans say he can still make 135. Why fight Crawford (140) @ 147?

Crawford fought at 135 just November of last year.

Bro, this is funny. I make fun of Floyd's IV. Your response is: :rofl:rofl:nut:lol: I make fun of Pacquiao and your response is: :|:fire

Granted, I wasn't joking in this thread... I have no problem with the fight being at 147 because I think Crawford makes weight with no issues and fills into 147 nicely. It just makes sense for Pac to fight him at 140 with everything they said and Crawford fought at 135 LESS THAN 12 MONTHS AGO.

If he does get the fight it'll be the first time in his career that he enters a fight as an underdog.

However, Khan's team and Arum have a habit of saying one thing and doing another. I'll believe it when it's finalised and a date, venue and network has confirmed the bout. I think it's a winnable fight for Khan and it's definitely a fight he should be actively seeking. It's the biggest fight out there for him and a win would catapult him to the upper echelons of the boxing world.

He doesn't hate Pac. Only extremely shallow people hate a sports figure that has absolutely no real impact on their life. You know what I mean?
