Arum considering 4-man tournament for pacquiao

-May 5th to early to promote this type of fight.
-Need to build a new stadium that won't be finished until end of May.
-Cut needs 7 months to heal(informed by the surgeon who's dating Arum daughter)
-Floyd gives the order for GB to contact Arum but he says he isn't interested.
-Arum says he doesn't know who to contact, even after Floyd answered that question the very next day.

No negotiations had even taken place yet and known of these issues were even resolved before this purse split issue came up, but your finger is pointed only at the purse split as the only reason.

Let me drop a little knowledge on you real quick. Floyd as always wanted a bigger cut. This is nothing new. But every time they actually NEGOTIATED in the past, he always caved and agreed to the 50/50.

Well here we are in the present, Floyd said he wanted a bigger cut and TR has already called the fight dead before any actual NEGOTIATING has happened to see what can be worked out.

and they demanded to take or leave the date. negotiations is a two way process especially if you are negotiating with someone who is an equal draw. still floyd has no excuse why he refuse a 50/50 split when it was fair offer from pacquiao.

140 and 147 are only separated by a step. it's usually not a big one and obviously, a vcitory over hatton is betetr at 140 than 147 but it's still an OK win. answer this, do you consider morales' pac win at 130 good at the time it happened?

marquez fought at 140 before pac though and has fought 2 times above 135 when pac fought him. also pacquiao made the catchweight and did not cheated him unlike floyd.

 

i never said arum's excuse is right but they can always make the fight anytime during may.

The Pac-May fight was never going to happen sooner than summer 2013, so with that in consideration, I'll be happy if this tournament goes ahead. At least in the absence of that mega-fight, we'll be treated to three (possibly four) other brilliant match-ups. It'll also prevent Pacquiao from picking on Cotto for the second time.

 

he should just go ahead and make Pac-Marquez IV in June, and Pac-May in November. If the Mayweather fight can't be made then Pac-Berto after Berto avenges his loss to Ortiz.

Not happening in November either. I guarantee you that. That is why I really wanted to get it in May regardless of the date. Arum may think that with Floyd getting out of jail, his boxing skills may be rusty enough to give Manny the greatest chance of winning but as long as Arum has options for Manny(no matter how ridiculous) he will let any reason he can find push this fight back.

 

pacquiao has stated that he would insist for a floyd fight next. floyd called him and pac said that 50/50 and he got the fight. all floyd could do is say yes and arum would have no choice but to make the fight since it is pac's choice. and then you could shift all the blame to arum if the fight still doesn't get made this may.

Sorry but I'm not believing Pac's word for a second. You may feel people calling Pacquiao Arum's puppet is disrespectful, but that is the reality. There has been to many conflicting statements in Pac's camp too often in the past for me to start taking his word for it now. Arum runs that ship. Example would be that Pac said he had no problem with the cut and that he was happy to fight on the 5th. Arum goes to the Phillipines and has his meeting with him and what did Pac say afterwards. That the fight should happen in June or late May. Pac just fights. Arum controls everything else.

 

Just stop responding to this ****** punani-a-gaga because all he's doing is making this a Pac/May thread when it's about this poor man's attempt at a Super6.
