good, cotto makes it the distance this time and pulls out a close decision win.

i'd love to see tony win but i think now that manny has miguel fighting smarter, he's too slick for tony... i think mayorga would have beat the pre-manny cotto... i also think tony's punch resistance isn't what it was and if miguel catches him with the shot that put mayorga down, it'll end the fight

look how many punches pacquiao landed on him, no why cotto is going to ko margarito it wont be the plan either I think, just win enough rounds to win a decision. The old Cotto would have stopped mayorga in 7/8 rounds.

i respect your opinion but i think cotto is looking better now. he was always a vulnerable fighter but...he was so economical in the mayorga fight...he threw far less punches than he used to but he threw that last punch with authority... and as far as pac, you're talking two different animals and i don't think pac had the same agenda that cotto will go into the fight with

Oki but don't you think cotto will try to pace himself better this time? He is usually very professional and can stick to a gameplan, he doesnt strike me as the angry vengence type boxer that tries to go all out and get him out of there early, allthough I certainly believe he would try to stop him if the opportunity presented itself, I just hope he wins that fight since it must be extremely important for him.

He'll mix it up between boxing behind a jab, clinching, backing Margarito up with hard combinations, and turning him to control the center of the ring instead of retreating back to the ropes; he wins a decision. I'd love to see Margarito go down from a body shot though. That would be epic.

no. i don't think he will be reckless. i think he'll be determined. and as far as how much punishment pac gave tony and didn't stop him: thats part of the reason i think cotto will stop him this time. because of the beating tony took in the pac fight. and cotto won't feel merciful at the end either.

although i'm hoping for a different outcome than you are, i'll be the first to say that i think margarito will be susceptible to a good body shot. pac nearly put him out with body shots.

When Pacquiao hit him with that straight left to the body, I immediately thought of Nazim going "He don't like it in the body. He can give it there but he don't like gettin' it." It's obviously not made of glass, but it's a vulnerable spot that could affect him over time.
