Arum claims that his side wants a fight with Mayweather. So what's the hold up? Arum believes the reason the fight isn't happening is not because of lack of interest from his side, but he feels "Money" Mayweather Jr. is not interested. In a recent interview with Espn, he told that Pacquiao wants to make the fight, but he wasn't sure about Mayweather's willingness. In regards to a Floyd vs. Pacquiao match-up, Arum said: "I know what Pacquiao wants... he wants to make the fight. I don't believe that Mayweather wants to make the fight."
Has Mayweather even said anything since his release about fighting? I think the dude is done man, Leave him alone.
That's rich coming from a guy who has done just as much, if not more, to make sure this fight doesn't happen as Mayweather has. Can't really blame him though. If he can go on making double ended paydays by matching Pacquiao up with nothing but TR fighters, and the idiotic fans continue to pay for that garbage, then why not?
This is relevant because....? Arum never tells the truth so who gives a **** what the old man says. The day he dies should be embraced and celebrated by all boxing fans.
If Uncle Bob allows the Mayweather fight to happen, his cash cow likely gets seven shades of **** kicked out of him and his drawing power takes a tremendous hit. Meanwhile he has to share the promotion and he only gets paid on one side. He matches Pacquiao up with carefully selected TR fighters and his #1 guy gets to keep his winning streak alive, preserving his drawing power, and Uncle Bob gets paid on both ends every time out.
Vs. who?? Pac, Alvarez, Cotto & Martinez might be tied up... (Nobody else will qualify for PPV unless Floyd will be willing to fight on FREE HBO)
Mayweather has his own problems outside the ring, Boxing isn't on his mind at the moment. He will come back once he is broke. :hey
