We've shared this forum for many years Uppercut, and for the most part we've respected eachothers opinions.
    .....

.....I cant begin to tell you how dissapointed I am to see the stances you are taking these days....

....forget about our stance on JMM-Pac, thats not part of my dissapointment with you......

.....the depths that you've gone for the sake to make look good a Pac agenda is truly dissapointing.....

.....to repeatedly side and defend a total slimeball dishonest man like Bob Arum and lowering yourself to manure depths I've never imagined you'd side with.:-(

I've always liked you Lance and I still do.......but its hard to take seeing you post in this manner my friend.

Wake up Uppercut, you've been brainwashed by *******s for God's sake......Wake up my friend!:think

Note too that according to Arum, Berto (who is not a soon-to-be free agent) does still need to prove himself as a welterweight. Arum is whining about the Ortiz fight without of course mentioning that he didn't want Berto in there with any of his own fighters. I'm sure if Berto would cut off his ties with Haymon and DiBella, he too would suddenly become a quality opponent for Pacquiao!

you don't understand it divac. you might find your neutral friend of differing opinion than yourself that's because they are not brainwashed. it's because of the absurdity of your thinking that jmm won twice and it it was not close. i can understand some people saying that but what i cannot understand is how you can score it for jmm with lopsided scores. btw, what did you score floyd-marquez? my guess is that it's around 116-11 or 115-12 for floyd. i would not surprised coz you always wear the jmm eyeglass when watching jmm fights.

Doubt Berto will be an option this year, hell even next year. Too much risk, not enough reward.

I agree, but I think Arum's tune would change if there was the slightest chance he'd leave DiBella/Haymon.

berto is not even a bigger risk than clottey and has a bigger reward than clottey too. pac's team shows capacity to fight these kinds of options. it's just a matter of arum approving it, maybe next year if floyd still won't fight.

If JMM is with TR, he need not overprice himself. He can get the same amount of what GB will be giving him which TR can then provide because the overhead for TR is then much less if you remove GB's cut. As everybody says, boxing is still business.

I still respect you a ton, that's why it's saddened to see you post like a pac hater. So I guess the feeling is mutual. However, you will NOT find any ridiculous claims I've made on Pac. For the most part, I question the bull**** said about Pac.

And so what if I side with Arum. Yes...he lied a decade ago....YAWN...and that means what? He can't be trusted? That's nothing new, but doesn't mean EVEYTHING is a lie. Don't like him, boycott his fights. Simple as that. facxt of the matter is, Arum has been WAY more truthful then Mayweather has. So will you be doubting EVERTYHING Floyd says like you do Arum?

But please, spare me the high horse talk. If I sided with Arum, what's that say about you siding with a racist women beater? :huh

You're still great on other subjects BTW. :D

you cum-guzzling ****, you make a thread stating Pac-JMM is not happening cos team Pac is afraid of JMM :rofl. And then you basically acknowledge and agree with this thread that says its not happening because JMM is not with TR and Arum doesnt make as much money from it, it will happen if JMM was TR.

The problem is that Arum really hasn't done a whole lot to earn the benefit of the doubt. The mere fact that Floyd Mayweather lies a lot has absolutely nothing to do with Arum being or not being full of it, especially in a case like this. Do you honestly think that Arum has merely "changed his mind" on Marquez's credentials as a Pacquiao opponent? As others have said, this is about business plain and simple. I just wish people would also recognize this fact whenever Arum or another promoter starts mouthing off about fighters for rival promoters needing "to prove themselves."

I didn't say the fact that Floyd lies means anything to Arum. Was asking that poster if he hold Mayweather to the same standard he does Arum.

Who cares whether Arum changed him mind or JMM, or he "lied"...seriously, what does that matter anyway? People make the biggest deal outta nothing here. Most posters were mad Pac wasn't fighting JMM...now that Arum says it's possible...they ***** about it?

The thing is when Marquez did not get the fight and Arum said he needed to prove himself, loads of people here constantly repeated his words as an authoritative evaluation of Marquez's resume. Marquez was undeserving of a Pacquiao fight and needed to step up his competition. Now this recent change of course makes it clear that Arum's advice was merely hot air. You're right this isn't very significant in the long run, but I hope this makes at least some Pacquiao fans reconsider treating Arum as some kind of neutral arbiter and helpful advice-giver when it comes to Golden Boy fighters. Getting a fight with Pacquiao or most Top Rank fighters has never had anything to do with merit (or at least significantly less so than many other promoters' fighters).
