Arum "found" the money to make Loma vs Walters but didn't for Salido vs Lomachenko 2.

It's a great fight. I have my ticket, my hotel is booked, and I'm ready for Lomachenko vs Walters but, what happened to Lomachenko vs Salido 2?

It was proposed when this fight fell apart the first time but Vasyl was trying to play A-side games and Salido wanted fair compensation for his work.

I'm not sure how Loma gets all of these concessions when he is...
    1. Not a household name
    2. Has never beaten a household name
    3. Has only had 7 fights and loss one to above mentioned name.
    4. Has no real marketing strategy to fill up venues.

I give major props to K2 and GGG for really building him up from literally nothing and Main Events manage to get Hopkins ( to erase lawsuit of course) and Ward in the ring with Kovalev.
Top Rank has done nothing but cater to Lomachenko and for what? The promise of his skills being like Mayweathers. Well Mayweather's skill never got him paid it was his mouth, his skills kept him winning, so hopefully after Walters, win or lose, Vasyl starts to show and prove.

You still have some that give him props over proven greats which is my gripe about the Russian Trinity. Ali had to prove time and time again that he was great, Robinson had to fight every 2 weeks whether it be elite guys or bums. Vasyl has fought 7 times and *****s like this one say stupid **** like this...

Loma is the most interesting prospect in boxing, but I still feel like he's unproven despite him showing great skills. The Salido fight is something that I don't fault Loma for losing that much because it was a pretty dirty fight and Salido was much bigger than him, but he did still lose the fight.

I do like that Loma and his promoters are trying to get decent fights for him. Apparently he offered a fight to Rigo but negotiations broke down for what ever reason. I don't know th efull story behind that one.

Salido pulled a Jacobs and demanded more money than was available. Just as well, Salido is injured and the second Loma fight would have been cancelled even if he did accept his fair offer.

He is, but he also doesn't have a lot of professional fights. I'm familiar with his amateur background and accolades as well, but hasn't been a pro for that long and hasn't had many fights. You could argue that he is still considered a prospect despite him being a champion.

I disagree. He passed prospect when he beat Highly touted Gary Russell Jr for the World Title in his 4th fight I believe.

Yeah I can definitely see that argument. It's all about semantics in this case though and not worth debating. You can interpret what I said initially as "He's an interesting relatively new face in boxing" and it has the same exact content and meaning behind it.

All of his negotiations seem to "breakdown" because of money and stipulations that he never wants to budge on.
    Rigondeaux-money
    Salido-money
    Walters pre Nov 26- money

Salido only injured his back while trying to teach his son, Vasyl Lomamchenko, how to break a pinata. If they were scheduled to fight Orlando would have been preparing for the fight and not teaching Vasyl how to party.

Plus they let Walters sit around for a year before suddenly getting more money to pay him for this fight. Back door greasy tactics by Top Rank. They love to punish a guy that gives them problems. Hopefully Walters was staying in shape but Carribean fighters , minus Rigondeaux, never do. He is weight draining as I type this.

Pity. Hopefully one day they put up enough bread for the Rigondeaux fight. Making a Walters fight seems to be a good indication that maybe we'll get see it if they were able to sway him this time. That's the most interesting match up in my opinion for either fighter. It would be a shame to see Rigo retire before we see that match.
