If he came fighting an opponent who is not in his prime then let me be the first one to criticize him. :good

Thing about Floyd is he fought good fighters and some even greats and beat them all. Zab Judah in his prime. Arturo Gatti in his prime age and weight. Hatton in his prime age and weight. And who would forget the up and coming star Carlos Baldomir. All beaten to the pulp. Fact. :hi:

Are you serious with this question?

The answer is pretty simple: to maintain his already ridiculous amount of advantages.
The concept of the catch weight is to "even the odds", for the "smaller" fighter usually.
You usually expect the "bigger" fighter to lose some punching power, punch resistance and even speed and stamina if he's forced to go down from his natural weight class.
On the other hand, you expect the "smaller" fighter to lose some speed and maybe work rate if it's too far above his natural weight class.
That's not even to include the perhaps new nutrition and training regimen that both fighter WILL HAVE TO ADAPT.

And believe me, we can clearly see these advantages every time Floyd smiles when JMM hits him with his hardest punches and how Floyd easily KD JMM with a soft punch (debatable, since JMM is a known canvass kisser)

Also, in essence, Floyd pretty much screwed JMM's preparation -- he wasn't prepared for a Floyd that would simply eat his punches that easily.

This is exactly what happened between Cotto and Pac -- Cotto came in expecting his body punches to be his main weapon, only to be shocked by a rock solid Pacquiao.

In essence we saw a bloated LW fight a solid WW on that night.

Now explain to me what part of that is fair?

It's like saying Pac vs Sergio at MW will be fair.

Every body takes their advantage, PAC is making opponents light and weak while Floyd is making them fat and slow.

Yes Mosley was in his prime. Now that he is about to face Pacquiao, I think he is not in his prime anymore. I have to see him in training first. :good

I think only with Morales. Pacquiao was good when he moved up against Diaz, I don't get the idea why they have to drain Morales down to 130.
