Every fighter in boxing wants to be the man, but very few can hold their own in all arenas. Postol may not have been given dates for many reason's

    1. He hugged a lot in his fights.
    2. He beat Matthysse, and HBO action darling.
    3. He is more boxer on a network that is catering to brawling.(The anti-Floyd machine)

Postol is a good fighter and Lomachenko seems to be in the same boat where he will be facing the much bigger Nichols Walters because they would not pay him to fight anyone else.
Roman Gonzales has expressed his displeasure with fighting on a Golovkin undercard but he does not realize that he is NOT a draw on his own yet.

Boxing should take a business lesson from UFC, Dana White and start stacking those cards with superstars and maximize ticket revenue and possibly PPV sales.

Maybe Bob should put Postol and Loma on the Pac/Bradley undercard.

Maybe PBC should stack a few of those west and east cards with marquee names to sell tickets more.

For a bunch of Elite college graduates they look like amateurs in comparison to Dana and Zuffa. UFC 194 tickets are like $8,000 front row. May/Pac money for McGregor and Holm.:deal

I did find it interesting that Bob talked about shopping around in one breath, then said how trading fighters back and forth with Haymon to make events made sense in another.

This was the end-game to the lawsuit all along. Bob never wanted to win big, he wanted to scare away possible PBC business partners and tank their balance sheet so he had leverage when an HBO regime didn't feel like being accommodating.

Bob about to drop Haymon a really nice offer to work together, chances are it will be taken. Wouldn't surprise me if Haymon doesn't help Bob get some SHO dates and paydays for his guys, against Haymon B-sides of course and the lawsuit will magically go away.

Normally I agree with HBO's choices on who to show and not show. Not here though. Postol, Loma, Crawford should all be getting way more air time than they do. I still find it hard to believe HBO wasn't pushing to GET Crawford-Postol because that's a legit A-level fight.

That's what I gathered from all of this also. Haymon opened the gates for Promoters to go outside of Cable networks. I see Golden Boy following suit along with Duva and her only marquee fighter. HBO was sued by Arum before for trying to act as a promoter instead of a network.

It makes perfect sense...promoters who work with PBC have fat profit margins because PBC subsidizes most of their major expenses and overspends on purses, meaning there's more money leftover for them.

That's also a big part of why PBC is having issues filling stadiums- the promoters are getting paid either way, so don't have much incentive to pack the house. Traditionally, they needed to sell tickets, but the PBC spending spree has turned that on its head. So, a number of them just said to hell with the grassroots marketing it takes to fill seats.

The only reason Bob waited this long is that he didn't want to risk completely alienating HBO under the old management, which despised Al. The new head honcho, Peter Nelson, is more open to working with him, so ol' Bob isn't nearly as concerned about burning bridges.
