I have no problem with Cotto getting money, the guy deserves lots of it. Despite that, the belt they are talking about really belong to Sergio Martinez. The reasons that neither Pac nor Cotto will ever get in a ring with him is pretty much the reasons why we are discussing these fight on the internet and not in the pub with everyone else.

Boxing has amazing powers to shock and awe you as a fan, but so many of them are denied to you as a result of politics and bull****. Strap on that super emeritus diamond belt and call yourself a world champion. You aren't Frazier or Ali, you aren't Benn or Eubank. Its ****ing bull****, but I guess that the way it is now.

why do you feel bad for cotto.. those fights are easy winnable fights for him and he'll make so money or a lot of money of them.. this is a lot better than putting him against martinez

Whats the point of a rematch between Cotto/Pac if the first wasn't even close? I can understand Margarito/Cotto because of the plaster but Pac/Cotto? And Chavez Jr. a MW champion :!: No wonder they took out Martinez out of the equation. If Martinez can do that to Pavlik and Williams what can he do to Cotto and Chavez jr?
