One of Hermit's hobbies is to brew his own beer. By all accounts he is quite good at it. Judging from his post I think the ole boy may have been dipping into his stash:yep

Anyway, as near as I can determine Arum says he'll offer Team Williams the exact same deal they already agreed to, and let the offer stand for one year.

That seems perfectly fair to me. It amounts to a total of about $1.5 million. That is a BIG payday for PW, and it is twice what KP got for the first Taylor fight.

Letting the offer stand for one year gives Williams plenty of time to rematch Martinez. That is something I think PW needs to do.

No matter what Williams does or does not accomplish in the immediate future, he's still just a challenger, and Pavlik is still the linear middleweight champ. Challengers do not get to dictate the terms of a fight.

This was from our interview last night! It'll be the exact same contract offer to Williams. Arum said Floyd vs Pac will be signed by early next week, including location. Freddie said that Pac will pressure Floyd. He's is going to take the fight to him. I think we'll see a Vegas fight. Arum wouldn't verify this though. However...

 

FYI... The lineup of our interviews went: Rich Marotta, Michael Buffer, Bob Arum, Freddie Roach, Vanes Martirosyian, Jack Loew, and Miguel Espino. We also had to JMW Top Rank prospect. I'll have to pull my notes, because I don't remember his name. It's too early and we were up too late. Haha

 

I don't get it. How can Pavlik fight Bute and then Williams? If Arum thinks Bute is the kind of opponent you can hop up and down in weight for, I think he's the one that's been guzzling Hermit's booze. If Pavlik fights Bute, he needs to make sure he puts on the weight in the most efficient and careful way possible, not just stuff on some pasta like he did vs. Hopkins. If he moves up, it has to be permanent. And even then, I don't think he beats Bute.

PW is the best fight for KP out there, since it's a spectacular KO on a platter and a good way to restore his reputation. I'm not all that confident that Pavlik's body is receptive to a move up.
