First let me say this is not a real quote this is just what I think Arum should of said " If Marquez can beat Maidana then we can talk Pac @ 140". I feel that if Marquez can handle Maidana's power at 140 he should get a shot a Pac at 140, I know Marquez is the better boxer, and the fact that Maidana's body has been exposed as under trained and Marquez throws body shots with laser sharp accuracy I would have him winning if it wasn't for one question. Can Marquez take a shot like the one he took from Kats from a big punching 140 pounder, what do ya think?
Marquez would probably get dropped two or three times and be absolutly fine AND still come back to win somehow.
JMM is open to well delivered left hooks. (left anything really) I'm not sure how good Maidana's left hook is.... Then again, JMM deserves more respect from Arum. Maidana is coming off a loss, On top of being the lineal Lightweight champion, JMM gains absolutely nothing but a potential ass kicking or a blowout win against Marcos. I can see Bradley/Alexander winner? But Maidana is a lose/lose situation for Marquez.
This would be much more reasonable... Because a KHAN fight would not really come out unless GBP wanted Khan to lose, or JMM to lose... which are 2 of their best fighters they currently have.... So IMO a Maidana fight is much more doable @ 140 since GBP has stock on JMM and Khan... so I doubt they will match them up...
