He REALLY let me down against Marquez and Mosley in '11 with his performances but I agree that Bradley has a better chance than most think. Both fighters just aren't as good as made out to be but it should be a good fight. Bradley is seen as the best at 140 and Pacq should've fought JMM there then if he is fine at the weight beat Bradley for his belts. Team Pacq didn't think that out especially if Pacq is "so small" for big WW's/JMW's yet he fought Marg who was much bigger and DLH who was taller. A fight with Bradley would end his cherrypicking streak but I still give credit to Pacq for beating Cotto though he was clearly handed a phony belt.
The people who voted for Cotto are flat out wrong. We're not talking about the Pacquiao of '09. We're talking about the Pacquiao of 3 years later, and Cotto is the one looking tremendous in '12, not Pacquiao. This is a dramatically different fight now than it was then. Mark my words.
Problem is, if they don't take a Pac Man fight now, they almost certainly won't get another chance. It's a tough call.
PAC fought Oscar "Chololo" Larios in the Philippines July of 2006 then proceeded to annihilate the great Erik "El Terrible" Morales November of 2006. It was a good tune-up fight. Larios gave PAC a big scare.
i think bradley's workrate, his likeness to engage and his overall style would suit pac more than cotto for pac now. although i think a bradley win would give pac a better legacy point but a smaller purse.
I think that Peterson is the right fight, and now is the right time, for Pac to fight in the Philippines again. Love this concept. :thumbsup
Has pacquiao ever loss? Okay! Has pacquiao ever been knocked down?!? Okay! Has pacquiao ever been knocked out?!? Okay! Has pacquiao ever been dominated?!?!? Okay! Who holds the numbers in largest ppv events and gate revenue?!?!? Okay! What happened in pacquiao's last fight?!?! Okay!
That wasn't my point. We've heard the same said before, and again, before that. Getting very repetitive now.
This is very likely, the thing is if Peterson takes this fight i don't see him getting koed early, i see him taking a bad beating for 8 to 9 rounds and probably seriously damaging not just his career but his well being. With the type of back story Peterson has and with the way he carries himself id hate to see his career end so abruptly and potentially tragically, I believe Peterson is a good 3 years from being mega fight material if properly managed.
