Not true at all, Arum was floating the 9/17 date for the Cotto vs Maragrito rematch, then rumours about the Floyd Ortiz fight started then he try to lie and say that Margarito career was in Jeopardy, when the truth is he was scared to death of going head to head with Floyd and killing Top Rank's second biggest fight of the year, those matches the OP were most likely the undercard for what would have been the cotto/marg rematch.

 

What I said is true. Arum has nothing to do with the JCC fight on the 17th. He knows it's bad business to go against Floyd and is not involved in any way with it.

 

You do realize that this card above here, was reported to be a split site PPV event meaning all of the fights from staples are on the undercard of Mayweather vs Ortiz and Chavez Jr isnt drawing **** from the states.

 

Jose B is top talent and better then canelo and most likely beat khan out as well. However floyds card is highly stack card and is a great night for boxing. If the promoters follow this type of cards they would compete with ufc as far as high ratings every month. Go gbp and top rank

 

not gonna matter, the ortiz vs floyd ppv #'s will still crush the #'s for Pac vs marquez
