According to Arum, the "f*in' real truth" as to why the long-awaited mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao has yet to be made is because unlike Pacquiao, nobody controls Mayweather, and those that work closely with him, namely Al Haymon and Richard Schaefer, are simply using their relationship with him as leverage with the networks in order to make the fights they want to make. In other words, Arum is suggesting that because Haymon and Schaefer don't control Mayweather or make an exorbitant amount of money off of his fights, they use Mayweather's name to convince the networks to give them dates when they can stage other money-making events.
