WITH Filipino ring icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao still weeks away from his debut into the lightweight scene against World Boxing Council lightweight king David Diaz, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum already has another title fight planned for him, a unification bout against World Boxing Association, World Boxing Organization and International Boxing Federation lightweight titleholder Nate Campbell.

According to www.boxingconfidential.com Arum, Pacquiao’s promoter, has tentatively offered Cambell a $3 million to have a unification bout with the WBC super featherweight titlist before the years ends.

That is after Pacquiao dethrones Diaz and grabs his fourth division title.

John David Jackson, Cambell’s trainer, believes that his pugilist must grab the opportunity and accept this fight because he thinks that Pacquiao fits Campbell’s style.

“We talked about it. I told Nate he’d be a fool not to take that. Pacquiao is tailor made in style for Nate. Freddie (Roach) isn’t suddenly going to try to make Manny be evasive. Manny just has one style, coming forward and throwing bombs,” Jackson told boxingconfidential.com.

Cambell captured the three belts after beating Juan “Baby Bull” Diaz.

Meanwhile, Ricky Hatton also has shown his interest with a fight against the Filipino superstar, next to a rematch with WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.

“Although I’d like to think I’ve got my next three fights mapped out – Lazcano, Malignaggi, and we’re talking about Mayweather. I’d like it to be Mayweather obviously but if not, Manny might be a fantastic second,” Hatton told saddoboxing.com.

This is the biggest fight I would love to see take place.. Seeing as how Campbell can't get his fight with Casa and the JMM fight is looking like it will not happen, this would be a great fight at the end of the year if Pacquiao is to get past Diaz.. Even though there are talks about a Pacquiao vs Hatton fight, I don't think that it should happen now.. Hatton has already talked about having about only three more fights and is looking at Malignaggi & Mayweather after Lazcano.. If this fight does happen at the end of the year, I can see JMM fighting Guzman instead, which could fight the winner of Pacquiao/Campbell.. I'll be waiting to see what Campbell will say as he has already expressed interest in fighting the Pacman..

Campbell will be licking his lips at the thought of a payday with Pac, he sint a young champion dont forget. Im a bit torn i this fight PAc power has a question mark over it at 135.

So many good fight which can be made.

If we get Campbell Vs Pac than Casamayor Vs Marquez, we can have a winner vs winner undisputed lightweight title fight, with the winner of of that fight facinf Joan Guzman...or do i live in a dream world...?

i will add untik Joel Casamayor is beaten his is the lightweight champion.

In a dream world, you're not.. These are the fights that should happen in the lightweight division.. With Casamayor probably fighting Juan Diaz in Sept., JMM can fight Guzman, both who are without a fight, with them taking on the winner of Pacquiao vs Campbell.. Yes, Campbell has three titles, but he has yet to defeat Casamayor, who is still considered the champion of the lightweight division.. So as I can see it, Pacquiao vs Campbell and JMM vs Guzman with the winners fighting each other, and then the winner fighting Casamayor early or mid next year.. The lightweight division is about to get ready for a rumble.. Truly this is about to become a very, very exciting division..

this is a more winnable fight for pac than a hatton (assuming he gets past david diaz). though i do not necessarily disagree with a hatton fight, a campbell fight seems the right direction to let pac further improve his legacy. either casa or campbell would be ok.

Agreed.. A fight with Casa or Campbell is more meaningful and should be able to have a fight with both.. A disagree on a fight with Hatton at this moment.. I have to see how he fares in the lightweight division first, but a DLH fight shouldn't happen..

I don't understand what you guys are talking about. Nate and Casa are going to a purse bid and it is less than 200, 000 for the fight. So as far as all these other names thrown out to fight Nate. Where is all this news coming from? Nate just needs to take a no risk fight and take the 3 million for the Pac fight win or lose. That is not chump change for a LW.

3M is very big money for the LW division. nate and king should really take this offer. the fight should happen around Q4, this year after pac-diaz and campbell-casa fights.

I don't believe the $3M offer. That's Morales Payday. Even Barrera didn't get that much against Pac. Nate deserve less than a Million. Maybe it was mis quoted, they offer probably only $300K.

When is this suppose to happen? And are you saying fighting Pacquaio is a no risk? Campbell should take this opportunity to take the $3M for the fight.. That is a lot of money Arum is offering and no doubt both of these fights will have a huge payday.. This is what I think Pacquiao should be doing as well.. Getting a fight with Campbell..

yep. that pedro fernandez is a nutcase. or are you talking about the thread where someone said that pac doesn't deserve to be in the list of courageous fighters because of ducking guzman? what's next, pac is ducking gamboa? lol.

Guzman and Gamboa should fight 1st and the winner might have a chance to a bigger fight..They have still a lot of things to prove...Speaking of courage, Pac did that already coz he got titles in 4 different divisions, and only few fighters can do that. Don't be a nutlugger..
