Arum lining up Margarito or Mundine for Chavez Jr next

    it's on the SCENE, they still claim Cotto to be the top option, but if he gets Pacquiao, it's time to find the next in house opponent. Mundine was in Vegas meeting with Top Rank recently and looks to be signing. I thought it would be to face guys like Vanes/Margarito/Clottey but apparently he may be at the top of the list for Chavez :-(

    Of course the article mentions Margarito as well, but if i had to guess, I think they'd opt for Mundine before Tony.

    Um, surprisingly, no mention of Sergio. The most interesting part of this will be to see whether the WBC does actually strip this time.

    i hope its margo...would have like back to back to back title shots for losing...long live the ABCs!

    Wow. If he fought Martinez and got his ass kicked, he'd save more face than he would constantly ducking him.

    Two years ago I'd pick Toney to murder Jr, but now I think it'd be the opposite. Mundine struggles with mid-level JMWs, think Jr would crack him too. Go Rubio!

    Chavez has to fight Martinez after Rubio or he gets stripped.Perhaps this is what Chavez desires as opposed to fight Sergio and blame this action on politics instead of getting knocked the **** out.

    is banned from boxing for a year

    fights a bum

    fights Pacquiao for the WBC lightmiddleweight title and loses badly

    takes year out due to injury

    gets beat up by Cotto for the WBA lightmiddleweight title

    gets a shot at JCC jr for the WBC Middleweight title

    JCC jr ducks Martinez yet again

    jesus martinez should just try to look terrible against whoever he fights next.. it seems to be the only way hes ever going to get a shot at the big dogs

    He can line up anyone he wants, Chavez Jr is going to get mother ****ing ****ed up! If Peter Manfredo Jr. can repeadley tag Jr with hard rights what do you think is going to happen to Chavez when Rubio starts hitting him?

    Rubio will get robbed in the Chavez Jr fight.

    Mundine has always sucked, always. So yeah Jr will fight him next.

    Maybe but lets just put it this way if Chavez and Rubio play punch for punch Chavez isn't going to win the way he did with Manfredo.
