• Arum also said he was working with HBO to finalize a fight for welterweight titlist Timothy Bradley Jr., who was passed over for a rematch by Pacquiao. Arum and HBO both said the date for Bradley's return is Dec. 15. Arum said several names had been discussed, including junior welterweight Ruslan Provodnikov and a possible rematch with junior welterweight titlist Lamont Peterson (whom Bradley schooled in their first fight). Arum said he was also open to making a deal with Golden Boy for Bradley to face interim titlist Robert Guerrero. (That's a good fight, but don't hold your breath.) Another fighter Arum said he was open to matching Bradley with is British contender Kell Brook. http://espn.go.com/blog/dan-rafael/post/_/id/1932 Can't see it happening this year though. Brook fights at the end of October, is he going to come back in less than 2 months to take this fight? Unlikely, I'd say.
2 months is long enough between fights as long as Brook isn't injured. How can you turn down a world title fight if its offered?
In the old days it was but in this day and age it's rare (though tbf DeMarco will fight Broner just 2 months after getting rid of Molina in 1).
The way they have matched him I can see the only world title they will go for at the moment is the IBF, especially as Carl now has the Super Middleweight version. They may find it easier to work with the IBF and also after the IBF final final final eliminator in October
Yeah i think he will go the IBF route as mandatory. However if a fight is offered with Bradley for the WBO i can't see him turning it down.
I think a lot depends on how Brook fights in October. If its 12 hard rounds like his previous fight then maybe not. But if he walks through him. Then an 8 week camp is the norm.
Pac is fighting Marquez, a lot of the belt holders and contenders are tied up in fights, so Brook is a good fight for Bradley.
Guerrero seems to be their preference but with the TR/GBP feud that seems unlikely. And there's not that many top non-Golden Boy promoted 140 or 147lb fighters out there.
Bradley doesn't let you land clean, which is why the judges gave him the nod over Pacman. I see a UD for Bradley if it did ever happen.
