"They had copies of the contract and they were fussing about this and that and so they told me that Manny wouldn't sign and I said, 'OK,' " Arum said. "So the fight goes off and life goes on. I think everybody is sorry to hear that. What can I do? It's Manny's decision." Was it? Arum said that after the pot was sweetened, he was led to believe that that would seal the deal. "Then they came back with more demands and the deal fell apart," Arum said. Perhaps what is sticking in Arum's craw the most is the very idea that Pacquiao never touched base with him or trainer Freddie Roach. "Manny, in the course of this whole period, has not talked once to either me or Freddie," Arum said of Pacquiao, who is in the Philippines.

Very strange. Looks like manny just didn't fancy it. Wasn't he ko'd by a body shot earlier in his career? Maybe he it's Hatton's reputation for being a body banger that did it for him.

i dont believe in any of that **** of course Arum talked to him and i wouldnt be surprised if Pac ends up fighting another guy that Arum promotes.

its a shame this wouldve been a great fight and a fight that i dont see Pac losing.

Maybe Manny doesn't see worthy challenge in Hatton

I wonder why Manny hasn't consulted Roach.

If that was the case he would have signed the deal a long time ago. Is he gonna turn down the biggest and easiest pay day of his career? No.

Pac is just feeding Hatton with bull****,he knows that Hatton is getting fatter by the day and the more time it passes without a fight being signed the harder it will be for him to lose weight.

    Pac“s a genius.

Anything is more plausible than him being scared of Hatton because he was KO'd by a bodyshot over 10 years ago.

Psychological scars run deep. I'm not saying this is definitely the case but it's certainly plausible. Pac has more to lose at this stage of his career than Hatton.

Pac is on vacation with his family. Maybe thats why they are finding it hard to talk with him...

He's definitely scared of something because it's clearly not about money. I think he considers it too great a risk with not enough reward.
