I'm blaming either Arum/Pac for the fight not happening, whoever is pulling the strings. Why can't the fight happen if Marquez decides to go with GBP? If Marquez feels GBP can provide the best offer, why would he sign with TP.

this is what i've said: "The fight would be made easy if jmm just signs with TR". i did not say the fight won't happen if jmm signs with GBP but we all know that this is more difficult.

Divac is the ultimate conspiracy theorist in ESB!!!

Here is an example of his theory :

Marquez fought Cris John for 30 thousand dollars in an Indonesian parking lot in favor of the 850,000 dollars as a rematch against Pac because ------- he wants to get out of Arum's contract and if he fights for 850,000 dollars, JMM would not want Arum to get a bigger amount as a promoter,

It is better for Arum to receive lesser amount in the fight against John. There is also another angle which is that JMM has 1 fight remaining in his contract, and since he really wants to get out of his contract, he chose John.

Then there is another angle wherein the period where the offer was given was so limited that at the same time, the Pac vs. EM was made while JMM was thinking or rejecting the offer.

Only the Ludlumian mind of Divac can concoct such theories.

Yea no ****, but this is what i've said: "Is it worth landing your dream fight if it essentially means destroying the rest of your future?"

If JMM plans to retire after fighting Pac, then he would be stupid not to sign with TR. Do you understand why Marquez would be hesitant to sign with TR, or are you going to continue to act clueless?

that's a test if you really want it or not. it's the same case as the 2nd rematch again. jmm bolting out of TR and the fight with pac waited for 4 years. we all know that it was not a good decision for jmm then. are we repeating the same scenario now? pass-up on pac and take on some 2nd rate opponents for lesser pay just to prolong your carrer?

and you are blaming pacquiao for this fight not happening because of this jmm decison?

It was not a good decision for Marquez to sign with TR in the first place, and it isn't a good decision for him to sign with TR now imo. Why would Marquez sign with a company that he desperately tried to get away from? I'd say his career post TR has been better than his career pre TR.

He may not be able to land a fight with pac if he signs with GBP, but he can still have an opportunity to become a four weight champ and possibly fight Kahn for major dollars. That will all add to his legacy. He wants pac but not at the price Arum is asking for.

I wouldn't blame Pac i suppose. Even though the fans want a third fight with Marquez, pac is in another division. If the fight doesn't happen, it is become of Pac/Arum.

    quite contradictory statement.

well, if that is jmm's choice i wouldn't blame him either. but let us remember that his career only started to shoot-up after he fought pacquiao a second time. before that, he was fighting salido, jandaeng and jaca for peanuts.

imo, he should choose tha pac fight now. i'm saying this as he is also one of my favorite fighters aside from pac and cotto. jmm beating zab judah and morales would be good for his career but him beating the current pac at his age would make him an immortal. it's a win-win fight for jmm as i see it. it's also a fight where pac would not benefit much even if he wins.

if he's confident that he could beat pac, he's building a great future by signing with TR.

I'm getting sick of the whole "hurr they are signed with GBP hurrr they're hurting the sport" bull**** from preventing fights too. The cross promotional fights were some of the best a few years back but we won't be seeing those again anytime soon.

I'm sure it'll be made into 3 seperate threads all about the same thing but JMM has said his ultimate goal is Pacquiao over on the scene. I think he realizes that there isn't a good chance of that happening if he re-signs with GBP so we'll have to wait and see what happens. GBP is offering a 2 fight deal to include Judah but he wants to defend his lightweight championship and then fight Pacquiao.

That is something that someone who needs to have Manny Pacquiao's **** surgically removed from their mouth, would say...

    Oh wait...
