You don't think he was focused for the first Marquez fight or the first Morales fight?

This is what I am talking about. That's a little convenient.

If he doesn't train correctly he's a ****ing idiot, and therefore it can't be used as an excuse

He's already lost three times, twice by KO, and it won't be the last

That's still a little too convenient. There was nothing in the pre fight lead up that lead anyone to believe he was unfocused. (There was in the 2nd Barrera fight)

His not being able to overcome those ailments could be any number of things, including the fighter in front of him. To suddenly say he wasn't overly determined to win diminishes those fighters AND him. It's also an excuse, and not a fair one. Pacquiao seemed to be trying damn hard to win those fights to me. He moved up in weight to fight Morales, so I doubt he wasn't "that" determined or focused.

More likely, he was just as determined as always and just as focused, but would have needed a better effort than normal to overcome the fighter and the circumstances. And he still may have lost because the fighters may have in turn reached deeper as well.

A fighter does'nt need to go toe to toe to turn in an entertaining performance.

For JMM to elect to go toe to toe with Pacquiao would be to elect to throw his skill advantage directly out the window.

The fact that Pacquiao will try to knock JMM's head off and JMM will try to box Pacquiao ears off is what is going to make this an entertaining fight.
Its what made their first fight entertaining.

.....or do you not agree that their first fight was entertaining!

Their first fight scenario is the reason why this fight has been talked about in forums like these as the matchup they'd most want to see.

there are things called 'distractions' and 'excuses' in life. It is what it is..

Anything Arum says at this point is part of his job. I just may buy this ppv because of nonsense statements like this.

That's because in most parts of the world men weigh over 150 lbs. Put him in with Valuev.

the pac fans get alot of hate but the detractors have just as many excuses

Barrera had a bad training camp
    Morales was shot
    Barrera was shot
    JMM is past prime

the excuses go both ways. thats boxing.

Sometimes excuses are valid, sometimes they are not.
