so on the SCENE, they are quoting Arum as stating the fight did north of 900k buys in the US, and over 1 million in Britain.

Anyone that believed the 1.6 million in the US alone that was previously rumored is nuts!

With Arum, it's impossible to get a real number. I would still venture the north of 900k is on the high end.

Man knows his job. Watch him and Pac in the ring after the Hatton fight. Read the Dan Rafeal piece about Arum taking a senator up to meet Pac the next day. You think Pac would switch promoters? Nuff said?

Oh, sky is purple when the sun rises and sets and the piggies are killing us with their flu.

Arum never even said Pacquiao-Hatton would do 1.6 - 2 million, he predicted that for De La Hoya-Pacquiao. Somehow the wrong article got misquoted and eventually spread like wild fire.

Regardless, 900K is incredibly high considering there was no American or Latino fighter headlining.

No, he didn't. The quote used in articles across the internet all stem from an Arum prediciton on De La Hoya-Pacquiao, which was in USA Today. However, Arum never mentioned anything about Pacquiao-Hatton buys in USA Today, other than an article weeks ago where he stated anything over 800K would be a success.
