Agreed. I think Pac would stop him at 147. Nobody, especially the general paying public, wants to see Marquez at WW again. If Pac still wants May then he needs to stay at WW, though I honestly believe his next fight is his last. Manny sticking around is more Arum's pipe dream than anything real in my opinion.

Because Marquez only loss is at 147. I feel Marquez would be fine at 140 vs someone like Pac or Hatton. He looked completely fine vs Diaz at 135, and he's faced a pac thats only a few lbs lighter than the one fighting now.

If Pac dominates JMM, it's because he got even better.

Are you trying to say Pac wasn't prime when he fought JMM the second time?

What's point of getting into the ring with any of those guys? 90% of his fans agree that Pac rolls over those guys like it's nothing.

because Morales had a rematch clause, and all these haters are bashing Pacquiao for going on to fight a shot Morales without recognizing that Pac was only about a 2 to 1 favorite to win the rubbermatch.

I'd like to see Marquez fight someone like Bradley, Berto or Khan, Alexander and prove he can compete with the best at those weights before wanting to see another rematch with Pac. I think JMM would lose badly in those fights at 140-147.

Pac has nothing to gain with a third fight now, and really has everything to lose. He'd get zero credit for the win, similar to the Morales rubber match. The fight wouldn't sell near a million given Marquez's poor performance in the Mayweather fight and it would only serve to give credence to Mayweather's claim of 60-40. Arum has a good point

You guys are all missing something here. Pacquiao has to skip meals to make 140 now.

No way will he go do that anymore. If he fights, it has to be 147 upwards.

That's why Arum is saying this fight someone else first.

JMM WEIGHED LESS THAN 135 IN HIS LAST WEIGH IN FFS

Pac was cutting 15lbs to make 130 before.

He'd only be cutting around 10lbs at most. Leaving rooms for meals.

    So what?

    :good

Pacquiao has grown to be a small welterweight over the past year. In Freddie’s words, "Pacquiao has to skip meals to make 140"

so JMM need to go up to fight pacman and we know what will happen next :bbb

JMM would give Manny a hard fight & Pacquiao & Roach know this. I predict we do not see a rubber match between the two!

Think about it, if Manny beats Margarito, which I epxect him to do so comprehensively, then surely, Mayweather-Pacman will happen in Spring next year?

The risk vs reward ratio will not be enough to convince Pacman to face Marquez!

So a Pacquiao Cotto rematch is a joke as well, but to you, it's probably the best fight after Pac Mayweather isn't it. :-(

Arum once again talking shite. The bout is already attractive from a financial standpoint...I don't see how a catchweight which will benefit an opponent, and not really effect Pacquiao cannot be agreed. They can agree catchweights for Pacquiao's opponents coming down 3-4 pounds, but Arum wants Marquez to move up to 147lbs (when he already knows he can't make the weight and be competitive)...and a catchweight for Pacquiao coming down cannot happen? Bollocks!

arum is pure filth its already attractive would do 1 million ppvs imo

he just doesnt want to make fights with fighters other that his own, now if he didnt have any stars thats when he will fight other stable fighters.

oh and how is arum expecting clottey to fight against marquez, clottey is arguably the biggest and strongest welterweight out their.

    poor marquez
