That doesn't answer anything. As DuckD pointed out, Arum always hypes Pac...why is he saying what he is saying all the sudden? How does talking negatively about your top guy hype the fight? This isn't FMJ here...people don't tune in to see Pacquiao lose...

...I think someone in Pac's camp pissed Arum off, and he said what he said out of temporary bitterness or spite.

"I follow all of Pacquiao's fights and I've never heard Bob Arum express anything other than amazement at how hard Manny trains. This isn't very encouraging. "

So Arum is admitting he made a garbage fight where one guy has no chance? Exactly like the Clottey fight.

Thanks for the heads up, Bob!

Promoters are the guys to listen to when it comes to calling fights. Just look at Don King. When was he ever wrong?

Lot of ignorant fools on ESB.

arum is simply saying that pac is not yet in top form. that's not hard to believe because pac had many commitments he has to attend to, hence behing in training schedule. as long as there are no more distractions going forward he should be able get back in form.

Wtf? That's the only reason why i'm buying the fight. To see Manny lose, hopefully get GTFO. I'm not 100% sure i'm buying yet tho.

A reason for Arum to say this is to establish an excuse for losing beforehand......this way, he can still have a reason to sell a Pac-Mayweather fight if Pac should lose to Margarito......."Pacquiao did'nt train. He did'nt take Margarito seriously. I said it beforehand."
"What Manny Pacquiao needs is a reason to get up in the morning to train to his full capacity, thats why Manny will now fight Mayweather.......He'll avenge Margarito when the time comes, but for now, Manny needs a real challenge in the form of Floyd Mayweather Jr."

.....I could just imagine Arum saying this crap.

This is Arum just being nervous that the richest fight in boxing history might go down the drain by a Margarito upset. An upset that Arum knows quite well Margarito is very capable of.

Pacquiao will be ready. He always has been.

You must have me confused with someone else.
I've always given Pacquiao credit for victories.

The Hatton, Cotto, and Clottey fights were all impressive imo.......the Cotto fight especially as Cotto showed up to fight.

I was one of the few here who was'nt in shock when Pacquiao handed DLH his arse, as I called that fight to the round.

A Pacquiao victory over Margarito will be just as impressive if not more so than the Cotto fight, as Margarito has more of a workrate, better stamina, and can take a better shot.

My beef with Pacquiao stems from his weak excuse filled first negotiation call off of the Mayweather fight.
The Pacquiao camp excuses were so embarrasingly weak, it has me without a doubt convinced Pacquiao's a Ped user.
There is just no other way to interpret Pacquiao's and his camps comportment in that first negotiation call off of the Mayweather fight.

......but as for Pacquiao's caliber of opposition over the last several years. My feeling is that his resume is very good.
