Arum wont be surprised if Mayweather-Pacquiao generated 4M or even 5M ppv's. The ppv is expected to break all of the current records. Mayweather's fight with dela Hoya, in 2007, is the record-holder with 2.4M buys. After everything is calculated, from ppv purchases and other revenue sources, Arum says the two fighters could end up splitting as much as $300M. There is a 60-40 revenue split in favor of Mayweather. "We have to do the math, after adding everything I think the [amount of money] to distribute will be $300 million, 60% for Mayweather which is $180 million, and 40% for Pacquiao which is $120 million,". Floyd loves cars and probably he could buy so many cars that he would satisfy every dealer in Las Vegas and I know that a lot of the money that Manny will win is going to go to charity in the Philippines."
That's the reason why floyd doesn't want to give pac a single share of ppv. And joyboys actually thinks floyd's offer is not a joke and very generous.
I think that is to far fetched...wont do 4 or 5 million..but i wouldnt be surprised if it did 3 million
At $89 dollars, there's no way in hell it'll do more than a couple million. People will just go over to one another's house to watch it. The idea that it'll do four to five million PPV's is laughable.
how's it laughable. Floyd-Canelo did 2.2 and Canelo has a big fan base but this is PACQUIAO!! bro easily, 3.5 4mil. EASILY!! when the MGM seels out all there rooms in 15 mins, then this will do over 3 mil buys bro. $99 is nothing for the biggest fight of most our lifetimes.
