Here's a good article on Arum's response to Calzaghe.

Well, if there is ANY hope it seems to be Warren at the moment. Nice find on the link Boo.

"Well, apparently Frank Warren is very upset with it and Frank Warren wants him to fight Pavlik," Arum said. "So it's not definite that he is going to fight Roy Jones."

Arums response brings some truth to the table but hopefully Calzaghe is saying Jones is his last fight only in order to draw more fans

Yeah, I'm sure Warren is gutted about guaranteed sell-out in Wales, and a **** easy fight

Still, the closest thing we have to 'shred of hope' left for this fight.

i think joe is being a bit ignorant and stubborn, we all know the pavlik fight is bigger at present. yes jones is the better fighter on record and will go down in history as an all time great.

it seems as if joe has the same obsession with jones as steve collins did. read it in joes autobiography! he believes he was the greatest of the 90's. but at least collins was trailing a prime jones.

That would have been a good ending to a good career. Or, if he would have just kept his mouth shut about Pavlik, no one would fault him for joining the senior circuit, and I do not mean that as a slam. Kessler, BHop, and RJJ would have been a very good final chapter, but he started this **** with Pavlik right after the first Taylor fight, and now he seems unwilling to finish it.

Arum went to the Boxing Hall of Fame inductions with Warren (Warrren getting in), so they did spend alot of time together & prob yapped alot about a possible match up. All in vein as soon as Calzaghe saw the light.

Warren, like most of us, probably believed Joe when he spent 7 months calling Pavlik out every chance he got.
