Why would emmanuel want to make a trilogy? That default % Oscar gets from emmanuel's fights increases whenever they do business with GBP. emmanuel would beat Marquez at this stage of their careers, but Marquez still has the ring intelligence, skills, and style to give emmanuel trouble.

emmanuel makes less and doesn't look as good as usual, it doesn't make much sense for emmanuel

Who cares if Marquez loses, or even loses badly, the guy wants the fight. No matter what excuses anyone makes, whether Bob Arum, *******s, *****s, GBP whomever, the Trilogy makes more money than other other bout BESIDE mayweather...at this point Manny is a star and they can sell the fight as the last guy to give Manny extreme trouble.

Manny bring your ass down to 140 and take the easy payday if its not that much of a challange!!!

SO Marquez asking for slightly less than what he made against Mayweather means he is pricing himself out????!! GTFO!!!!

Margarito just made 6 mil vs Pac....Why can't JMM who deserves the fight more than Tony, and who poses a better challenge get the same????

Sounds like Arum really is trying to keep everything in-house, which is pathetic...that or they fear JMM.

Didnt Margarito just get 6 million? A margarito who hadnt have a good win over a legit contender in two years? A margarito who had gotten KTFO in the fight before last?

Am I mistaken or didnt he get 6 mill? So now JMM cant get 4? JMM whos still top 6 p4p by almost everyone, and coming off two wins over legit contenders and who is the number one guy at his weightclass?

The sooner Arum leaves boxing the better....

JML is coming off a legit win, does he deserve a shot at Pac?

JMM had an opportunity to establish himself at 140 and 147. At 147 he got embarrassed and sent back down, at 140 they pulled out because they didnt think he was good enough for Khan. Yet he will give Pac trouble at 147, or 140?

The man is after a payday. At this point, might as well have Pac fight Torrecampo, they can sell it as the guy who knocked out pac :-(

BTW I think that Pac-JMM 3 would be better for Manny than Pac-Mosley. Pac-Mosley will do about 1-1.2mil, Mosley's stock has dropped massively. Pac-JMM 3 given their history will probably do around 1-1.2mil too. Pac-JMM 3 is the first fight Pac & PBF has had in common where Pac will outsell PBF. Circumstances are better for Pac. If they want more bargaining power for when PBF-Pac finally goes down, they should go down this route.

Arum is one promoter I can't stand. Marquez deserves his chance. He deserves it more than Mosley or Berto. Arum better make this fight happen and Marquez deserves to be paid a lot.

    War Marquez

Marquez got screwed in the Mayweather fight as well.

I dont know the exact figures but Mayweather ended up making over 4 times as much as Marquez.

Whats happening here is that Arum wants Marquez to make the same % he made in the Pacquiao rematch, which was less than 20%.......

Arum can go screw himself if thats what he expects an elite like Marquez who's given nothing but exciting fights for years now.

I've had about enough of these promoters lowballing Marquez purses.........imo Marquez deserves in the range of 35% to 40% of the total purse.......if Arum is not in that ballpark, they can go **** themselves and make the fight that nobody wants to see, Shane Mosley!

If Mosley wants to be taken advantage by Arum, thats on him.........

For Marquez, he has a different option if Erik Morales is succesful against Jorge Barrios.

.......an easier fight, and just as good a payday than the lowball offer from Arum.

I hope Morales flattens Jorge Barrios and looks dominant.......then bring on JMM vs Morales on Cinco de Mayo of 2011!:happy:happy:happy:bbb:bbb:bbb:bbb

Marquez wants more money and wants Pacquiao to move down three weight divisions to fight someone he already beat. Let's be real here, Marquez LOST, if he wants it he should go after it, Pacquiao doesn't need someone he already beat.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the guarantee was somewhere between 3.5 to 4 mil vs Mayweather......it may have gone up to 6 or 7 after his cut from the percentage of the PPV.

I was under the impression Marquez wanted Pacquiao to come down all the way to where they originally first fought, 126 lbs!!!:nut:nut:nut:nut
