Uh oh *******s, I thought pacman was more popular, how come pacman cant guarantee JMM more money than money may was able to offer him?

Floyd fought JMM at a catchweight AND gave him more money than Pac is willing to do. FACT

JMM can do over a million PPV with Mayweather.

Is arum afraid he cant do the same with Pac, is he admitting Pac doesnt sell as much with common opponents as Money Mayweather, which history has already proven.

Everybody knows that the Margarito fight was just a wild experiment: Testing pac against bigger opponents as big as he can handle. That alone creates a lot of hype and intrigues, which of course, draws a lot of casual boxing fans. In the margarito fight, the casual boxing fans are the ones who brought cash to the fight while the so-called pure boxing fans are the ones who boycotted the fight.

If I was a casual boxing fan, do I find pac-marquez III interesting? HELL NO!!!! Let the records reflect that the first fight was a draw (with Marquez KD 3x) and the second fight Pac with a victory. Other people's opinions count to nothing!

I think people should start moving on and let pac face fresh faces.

It's like Arum doesn't really even try to make the fights the fans want to see. He puts his effort into making the fights he thinks the fans want to see. When that formula fails him, he will change his tune. :verysad

Arum has been a boxing promoter for what, 4 decades? you really believe all these years he doesn't know what kind of fight fans want to see? Give me a break

How many people turned out in marquez - katsidis fight? guess what? 4,920!!!! So if I was Arum, I only ask one question: is this the kind of opponent that will brng in casual boxing fans?

Pretty pathetic you would use that picture in boxing discussion :patsch.

And you must be ****ing ******ed to think I am a JMM fan.... far from it, in fact.

But wait a second, now all of sudden you have a following to get a fight with Pac now? Thats why Clottey got a fight with him right

    wow.

So I will ask you the same question I asked the other guy.

Who do you want Pac to fight next. Simple question.

    No, but Clottey will

Pac fans (I dont even want to call some of you pac fans, give pac fans a bad name) but whatever you are, want to say Pac is the 'king of ppv' on one hand, then on the other say that Juan Manuel Marquez doesnt have a big enough following to get a fight with Pac because it wouldnt draw the casual fan?

The same JMM that Mayweather did over a million against?

    Ok.

Serious observation...I think its( Marquez demands) just a second reason for Arum. And I dont think Manny is avoiding Marquez because he's afraid of him(Marquez) ,although deep down inside, Juan gave him the most hell in those 2 fights tahn any other except for the Margarito fight where he got hurt in the 6th. Its more on " Why would i sign to fight a guy who's has given me so much disrespect and give him a good payday? "...Its my honest observation that boxing has changed thru the years that You Wont Be getting your Big Payday if you you totally disrespects the the one you're challenging? Almost gone were the days that you totally disrespects the champion to land a fight with him. It may be true that Arum maybe protecting his fighter.. It may be Richard Schaeffer and not Juan who was making those demands for him(Juan) because boxing is also business. Some may make an argument that Marquez deserves to get $5-6M but Manny it the top dog now and money maker and Juan is not in a position to make demands. Marquez's best chances of landing the Pacquiao sweepstakes if he was nicer..Besides the fact that TR and GBP hates each other.. I know this is boxing but Filipinos hates thrash talking in that level.

People need to realise, this is part of negotiations.

GBP will put forth a high initial number, Arum will say no freaking way, and they will go from there.

I think 3 mill is fair for JMM and unless GBP is indeed trying to torpedo this fight, and Arum really doesnt want Pac to fight JMM, that 2-3 mill is what they will settle on.

But how I wish Pacquiao/Marquez trilogy to happen. Then Mosely, Berto, Bradley in that order since Mayweather fight wont be happening anytime soon

Sadly, you have little understanding of the principle behind boxing promotion. Clottey is a TR boxer. Arum don't give **** if Clottey has zero fanbase as long as the fight is in-house. On the other hand, Marquez belongs to GB and therefore needs to bring as much to the table to justify his demand for a higher purse. Does the fan turn out in the marquez v. katsidis fight excites Arum to do a ****in trilogy between JMM and Pac? I don't think so.

Mayweather v. Marquez was a comeback fight of Mayweather, and don't be such a **** to think that people watched the fight just to see marquez prove himself above the lightweight div and against money may:hi:

Margarito's GUARANTEED purse for fighting Pacquiao was 3 MILLION USD with an upside depending if the PPV sold more than 700,000 houses, 1 dollar per home over 700k. That's how he got 6 million USD total after everything got totaled in.

Marquez Guaranteed Purse vs May is 4 million USD. I do not recall what's the upside take of the PPV is, but it should be almost the same as Margarito's, around over 700k homes.

It is feasible that GBP and Marquez are actually pricing themselves out in this match on both the guaranteed purse and the upside take, like maybe over 500k homes.
