Wouldn't Floyd get out of jail in September? Whose to say that they would be able to get negotiations completed and have a tour in September? On top of that, Floyd and Manny have to train for at least 8 weeks. I don't know if that is possible to do in November. December would seem like a better date(If both sides really want the fight).

Lawyers are a tricky bunch, very good at making people say, "Oh, I hadn't thought of that". He says November now to get everybody to stop screaming at him, but then he'll say that if Floyd goes to jail in June, he won't get out until August or September. He'll make the "perfectly reasonable point" that how can anybody really believe that Floyd and Manny would be able to negotiate the fight, confirm the fight, train and properly publicize the fight in only two months? He thinks FOUR months isn't enough time between now and May 5th.

So of course, there will be a large number of people who will hear that and say, "Ohh, yeah, that's a good point. We should have thought about that".

In the meantime, Pacquiao WILL fight in November, and of course will require at least 5 months to heal, publicize the fight and train.

Ah, but Floyd almost certainly won't want to be laid off that long before fighting Pacquiao, so he'll want to take an interim fight to warm up. He won't want to take it too close to Pacquiao's own fight, which means it's more likely to be in January or February. Meaning he won't be ready for the May 5th 2013 date that Arum really wants to use for Manny to fight a Mexican warrior...like Brandon Rios.

But after the Rios fight...Floyd is "definitely" next.

 

It's too late, not gonna happen that way (another issue will arise etc), it has to be this May.

I doubt Pacquiao's cut will be sufficiently healed by then.

 

But Pac's cut might not be healed by then! Also, PBF will just becoming out of jail (which was supposedly the problem this time). I like Pac but Arum is a F'n *****.
