First let me preface this by saying I'm a big fan of Pavlik, but I'm going to give my honest opinion on this even though it may cast his camp in a somewhat unfavorable light:

Could it be that the money just isn't there for any of these Pavlik "megafights" yet? I imagine management would have to be offering some serious cash to whatever name opponent would fight him to even out the risk/reward scenario, but I really think making a Winky or Mora fight would allow them to recoup the investment in the future as Kelly winning would give him a more recognized name. They don't want to pay for an Abraham fight, either. For someone who's now one of the biggest stars in US boxing, isn't this a little strange that his own promoter won't pay for these opponents?

Long story short, either Pavlik's now the most ducked man in the sport, or Arum's a cheap ****er who's going to cash in on more easy defenses for a good period of time before he ponies up the bills for a bigger fight and always happens to have an excuse as to why it's the other guys' fault. While I think Pavlik probably isn't the first choice for alot of fighters, I can't believe that they can't afford to bring in someone with a name.

And, all the sudden, I get the feeling that a Calzaghe fight probably wouldn't have happened even if Joe didn't fight Roy because Pavlik's camp would've insisted on Joe fighting in the US again, but the money's just not there to pay both of them. The offer of paying Joe 10 million pounds sure smells like a pile of horse**** if they can't put on a fight with fighters who are cheaper but have just as much US name recognition as Calzaghe has.

I would love to see Pavlik versus Rubio...Rubio is a tough guy and is a natural 160 fighter. He went on somewhat of a skid in his four losses due to starving himself to try and make 154. He is a tough fight for anyone; Kelly had better bring his "A" game, or he might get knocked out!!

Pavlik is the most active star out there don't hate because all the other names want to much money or are scared to fight him.

Nah . . . that's not gonna work. Sturm would never leave Germany.

Better if they bring Pavlik to Germany. I'm not worried of any robbery taking place . . . because Sturm won't last the distance.

Problem is would there be enough money?

it realy doesnt matter who pavlik fights next, every one is going to think hes taking the easy fights because the manner of which hes going to end every fight. Hes to damn strong, his chin is iron, he has a hella good jab, knows how to put combinatons together. The only one who would challenge him a little is AA, that would still end in AA's defeat.
