Why would there even be a catch weight. The fight would be for the WBO WELTERWEIGHT belt not the MANNYWEIGHT belt.

Again, please show us the official press release. A circle jerk of FMJ haters is not "everyone". You can't source it because you and your herd of hate sheep made it up.

Pac wanted a 10 foot ring and 20 oz gloves. :nut

I've never heard of Pac fighting anyone with a rehydration clause.

If you're thinking of the Oscar fight, there wasn't one.

well the fight was slated to be for the p4p recognition. Not to determine who is the better welterweight. The WBO belt is meaningless here.

Don't forget that PAc is also the 140lb lineal champion. I think Pac could have demanded a catchweight but knew right off the bat that negotiations would be a no-go.

Yeah and that was ****in ******ed. Cotto was the champion but Pacquiao still dictates the weight and the belt being on the line? If your a champion of a division you fight at the stipulated weight, if not vacate it!!!!!!!!!

If Cotto would have won he still wouldn't have been P4P number 1. And the WBO belt was not meaningless in this situation. The whole reason it was demanded to be on the line was because it was Manny's 7th title in a different weight class!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah in that case you are right. But still the fight should be at 147, no excuses.

    i have a question...

Why is oscar and clottey allowed to fight at 147, but cotto, who held an actual belt at the weight, wasnt allowed to come in at 147?

I am not complaining, im serisouly just curious.....

ya im not making excuses, i dont think the outcome had anything to do with the weight really.... im simply truly curious as to why everyone else is allowed to actually fight at 147 besides cotto, who actually held a belt there.

anyways, glad to hear the clottey fight is at 147.
