I read that Calzaghe was his #1 priority, I'd be happy with Winky or Calzaghe. They're both risky as hell but Kelly is old school and will fight anyone and I think as fans we'd want the toughest fights. Also either Abraham or Sturm to unify the division would be progressive, I am aware that there's no way Sturm would agree to it though. Mayorga and Rubio are pointless fights.

Pavlik had his stay busy, no threat fight in Lockett so hopefully he'll step it up in his next one and fight Calzaghe. He's a powerful champ right now and has tons of momentum, and he shouldn't ruin that by fighting someone like Mayorga who absolutely does not deserve it.

    Mayorga? No.
    Rubio? Not now.
    Winky? Sure.
    Calzaghe? Why Not
Abraham? Why the hell isn't he mentioned as a possible next opponent? I can't hate on Arum now, but seriously though..

If the Calzaghe fight won't materialze . . . I'd prefer to see Pav against Winky.

    Just out of curiosity. :D

Maybe Arum's a realist. Abraham needs to get past Miranda first and if he does, hell have 3 joke defenses in Germany. Abraham's last 4 title fights after Miranda 1 were Demers, Gevor, Elcock, and Ayala. Who? Exactly. Gevor was
the only one with more than 10KO's (a whopping 15 in 29 wins). Kohl is NOT putting Abraham in the ring with Pavlik after Miranda.

Search boxrec for an undefeated, untested Middleweight who can't punch and that's your man for Max Schmeling Halle come December.

I have always said that I thought that Wright is the WRONG fight for Pavlik. Its a bad style matchup, and I honestly think that Winky would beat Kelly

:happy Winky Wright is long overdue for a fair shot at a World Title.

He loses a RIDICULOUS draw against Jermain Taylor (I scored 115-113 for Wright ... come on!), he loses a very close decision to Bernard Hopkins (can't argue with that one, but it was close) ... the guy deserves another crack.

I think his style would be very interesting to see in person against Pavlik, but at the same time, with Pavlik's accuracy, and power, he would hurt Winky, he'd not only hit him on the gloves... he'd hit those arms HARD. But at the same time, Winky's jab would be an effective tool, here.

    I like it!:bbb

Otherwise, a Pavlik-Rubio fight makes sense. Exciting match-up.

That's why I want to see that fight. :yep

Winky will have to hurt Pavlik badly in order for him to stop the guy from walking over him. It's imposible for Winky to win by points since Pav's punches never stop coming while Winky is more of defense and counters. :D

I don't want to see it, but they had pursued the Tito option and Tito wan NOT willing to come down below 170 if I remember right, or some dumb ****. He had the fight if he was willing to fight for the title at 160.

I respectfully disagree, esp. with the current Winky. Current Wink is obviously a little faded from years ago and he has changed up his fighting a little bit because IMO the BORING rap was gettin to him, so he tries to be more crowd pleasing making him more beatable than the ole Chess Master Winky.

    My opinion. Pavlik TKO.

I don“t think Klaus-Peter Kohl is putting Abraham anywhere.

    But Wilfried Sauerland might? :think

Max-Schmeling-Halle is only one of the 50 probable venues in Germany. :nut

And Abraham fights 3-4 times a year so it will happen before December. :hi:

I hope it will be BRIAN VERA then! :hat

He could really blast out and dethrone Abraham. :bbb

Then we could have the ultimate super-match-up in Vera vs. Mora. :fire

VERA VS. MORA IS THE FIGHT IN MIDDLEWEIGHT DIVISION! :happy

JUST AS STURM VS. MASOES USED TO BE. :smoke

Do you actually follow boxing? Abraham has a rematch with Miranda later this month. Lockett was Pav's WBO mandatory. Rubio is the WBC mandatory.
