highlight of the night was hearing a fighter in between rounds telling his trainer he's bored.

it was a crappy fight, but one i think donaire needed to elevate himself. His head was getting big from the big wins. I don't think donaire has a good chin, and think he will fall when he moves up. This fight will help him to know that there are improvements he can put in his craft.

I doubt any1 can own Narvaez convincingly just like Clottey. You can outwork this type of fighter and get a UD vs them but you can't really "destroy" them. Narvaez is a southpaw and is a

    major spoiler.

Has a very tight guard and was essentially a miniature southpaw Josh Clottey.

Narvaez didn't really come to win, he came to make Donaire look like **** and he did a great job at it by playing it ultra safe and with a very low punch output.

I wouldn't be too harsh on Donaire. It's obvious that he is an action fighter who tries to please the fans but if you want to make an action fight, it takes two guys to do so.

Narvaez and his snoozefest style is mostly to blame for this stinker.

I wouldn't be too harsh on Donaire. This was almost a replay of Pacquiao vs Clottey and he did what he had to do against these inactive, AA style fighters: outwork them even if your're not

    landing much.

Its the only way to win against them.

The fight wasn't very entertaining, but Donaire won damn near every round. He did what he was suppose to do: WIN. Next subject!

I agree. It wasn't spectacular but Donaire's priority was to win. He did.

It's hard to look good against a guy who won't fight, and that's what Donaire had to deal with. He did okay. It was something like Pavlik's last fight. Alfonso Lopez did not want to open up and fight. Consequently Pavlik looked like crap, but he still won damn near every round. Donaire did the same thing last night. Personally I think fighters deserve a lot of credit for the patience and poise they show in that type of win.

Donaire listened and did what his trainer told him to do. Be patient and don't get too excited. i commend Donaire for doing so. Narvaez, fighting in the U.S for the first time and being undefeated, really fought a disappointing fight.

Although winning was a priority, it wasnt the only one and I dare say it wasnt the most important one. This fight was intended for him to showcase his skills and talent and to show that hes worthy to be ranked as one of the best in the game today. He didnt do that and while some of the blame can be attributed to his trainer for bad information, ultimately the responsiblity falls on him.If the main prority is to win, why is everybody sweating the **** out of Mayweather. It wasnt like Narvaez was a lock that couldnt be opened. Donaire had the key and he didnt use it. To be in that elite group of fighters , you have to win and look good doing it. Donaire is still one of my favorite fighters but I dont give nobody a free ride. If you wanna claim the fame then do the dam thang.:bbb:bbb:bbb
