Well the Moreno fight would've happened instead had Donaire not ****ed up by trying to break his contract. I'm hoping he fights either the Darchinyan-Moreno or the Agbeko-Mares winner next. Anything else will be another step back.
Arum wont allow ANY of those fights to take place. Donaire will move up and fight Arce and Arum will want to keep everything in house, as ****ing usual.
I couldn't help but think that Arum was unfolding a little revenge for Donaire signing with GBP. But who knows. On the other side he may have been trying the opposite. Giving Donaire an unbeaten opponent that had made 16 successful defenses of his title to look good against. If Donaire had sparked this guy in 2 rounds it would have looked pretty good for him. I also agree with another poster that Donaire was not in the best shape he could be. He ballooned up too much since the Montiel fight, and if he did have a dangerous opponent in front of him that was game and tough in the late rounds, Donaire might have been stopped because if it was an actual fight, the cramping from the weight drain and then gain, may have been too much for him to overcome against somebody pouring it on.
War with GBP is over. If the fighters want those fights, they should be able to be made. Moreno fight for instance was almost set, Donaire got upset that Moreno was offered the same money as him to make it happen, after Moreno declined the initial offer. That seems to be what ticked him off and led him to try to break his contract which killed that fight, you can't blame Arum for that.
Um... how about Narvaez people selling Omar out? He was the one taking the impossible fight. How the **** was this a Donaire sellout?
he listen to his corner and got the Win ...this was a very good win for him after a long lay off sometimes you have to go 12.:happy:happy
Donaire should have fought the court battles. This fight was a joke and Bob Arum doesn't know how to manage him because Bob is a ****ing ******* who can't work with other promoters. Donaire should be handcuffed to Andre Ward fighting the same cards at the Oracle.
Exactly. I'm amazed at how Narvaez can defend up and down. Donaire tried going to the body but Narvaez was able to defend his body everytime. Wait, Donaire connected a few times but not enough to bring Narvaez's guard down.
He was really effective using his guard and bending over slightly to reduce the amount of body exposed. Superb defense, and whenever Donaire landed on the body it was borderline near the belt which led to the low blow warnings.
Maybe what Donaire should have done is not to look past his opponent. He was obviously looking for big fights @ 122 & 126 that he forgot who he's facing today.
