You do wonder if there is a mess brewing internally. Cotto seems to be doing OK in public, but you wonder what's happening with his team behind closed doors.

I just hope this doesn't devolve into another drawn-out contract fiasco, although at least in this case Cotto needed the time off anyway.

    I am inclined to agree

The Margarito fight was a high risk high reward fight, and let's face it, the plan was working for a good six rounds - and any other WW would have been flat on his ass after taking that amount of punishment.

For Cotto, it was just a shame that Margarito has a ridiculous chin

Look for him to bounce back in style

A promoters job and relationship with his fighters is always buisness first and everything else second. I think bob is just jumping on is new face of Top Rank Boxing which is Margo. During the Cotto/marg fight I think the promoting and attention was directed a bit toward Cotto. Does anyone remember that ridiculous sized Puerto rican flag?

He probably wants Cotto to change trainers. I know if I was his promoter I would be heavily pushing for this. This might be an issue driving a wedge. Cotto needs to remember he's on the big stage now.

    It didn't ruin Diaz!!!!!
Too much is being made of this loss...

You guys act as if Cotto was found lying in a fetal position in some corner.

Cotto has already said on Solo Boxeo that his differences with his uncle
his trainer has been resolved and he will be his trainer to the end.

I dont see any beef between either of them. Arum spoke the truth but he still didnt throw Cotto under a bus. It all depends on Cotto when he comes back.

And Cotto wanted the Margarito fight back in 2007 so stop with your fake bull****.

You are right....Cotto was ready to sign with Margie....and Margie backed out.
Cotto then had to fight Zab Judah.

I am telling you that too much is being made out of this loss.

Cotto is in good spirits and that is from first hand sources.

    So, Please!!!!

Definitely interesting comments from Arum about Cotto. Everytime he would talk about Cotto in the past, he would do nothing but praise the guy. Perhaps his relationship with Cotto has soured lately.
