March being too early. Both fighters have to turn up and fight on the same night. Politics in May. What a ****ing cop out.

Sickening because of people complaining about complainers. In other words, don't get on somebody's back for making excuses when you defend your own fighter for equally ridiculous excuses.

I'm not a super fan of either. But some of the fans on both sides are being exposed as dick jockey's.

It's a surprise because Pac would rather do that than fight Floyd?

Why is it a cop out? So it's a cop out even if he's said long ago that he's going into politics in May no matter what? **** politics in my opinion, I'm all for the fight. But it's not a cop out when you've said this for ages. If he all of a sudden says he's going into politics, that's totally different.

    Well, I disagree.

Mayweather would never get away wth pulling a move like this. And I'm a much bigger fan of Manny than I am of Floyd.

You've got a decent point here. Floyd talked about retiring after a number of his recent fights. Most didn't take him too seriously, which is understandable. However, when he walked away, a great number of posters bashed him incessantly claiming he was ducking Cotto, Williams, et al.

It's certainly Pacquiao's right not to fight Mayweather. However, it would be a great detriment to the sport if the potentially biggest fight since Leonard/Hearns 1 didn't come off because of something like this. I'm trying not to get too worked up, because throughout the buildup and negotiations I've convinced myself that there was no way the fight could be smoothly made. There had to be some sort of roadblock or posturing like this. Anything else would have almost been surreal.

He wouldn't get away with it because he's been talked about as a fighter who ducks for AGES. So people are not so quick to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Anyway I don't care for this discussion anymore. Like I said, Pac talked about this so long ago and was so adamant about it, that I'll never believe it's just "an excuse". You disagree? Cool.

Some things are more important than boxing and what Pacquiao wants to do for his country is much more important.

I don't give a flying turd how long Pac has been talking about it, that's not my point.

My point is, some things in life should get priority over others.

If Mayweather fights Matthew Hatton...you best get off Floyd's nuts.

there's also a double standard in that when Floyd retired, alot of people defended his decision, saying he had nothing left to prove. Now those people are here insulting Pacquiao in a similar situation.

Thats a double standard if I ever saw one.

April fools day is four months away, so come back on April 1st 2010 with all the talk of Matthew Hatton facing Floyd Mayweather!

One is the biggest star in the boxing, while the other has made his name because of the fighter his elder brother, Ricky, is & his huge fan base!

If Floyd goes in there with Hatton, I'm going to put my name forward as possible opponents for Pacquiao's next fight!

Pac will fight PBF after the elections. And no, thats not ducking because there is life besides boxing. Pac doesnt control the election schedule so thats it. Pbf can go get a tune up fight if he wants. They'd probably fight mid next year.
