I am willing to concede Pac should take 48 percent at this point.

Pacquiao was very scared of Floyd at this time..I remembered when Arum was saying Floyd was just trying to steal Pacquiao's shine the week of the Marquez 3 fight and then he was still calling Manny out after that week.

Arum never wanted to submit the finances to a 3rd party tax firm either. He's scared to do that at all as it will give away Manny's "50/50" illusion they have created for the public.

floyd would not fight again this year. FFS, he fights once-a-year. 4 fights in the last 5 years.

Not all of those were on purpose numbnuts.

in 2009, he was coming off his "retirement"

in 2010, he got in trouble with the law and that's also the reason why he fought once in 2011. A week before Floyd got in trouble with his baby momma, he was talking about coming back real soon.

so what about this floyd quote from his very own mouth?

"floyd fights are like the superbowl". - which translates to being an event and being once-a-year. you guys are getting mad for this simple fact that floyd is fighting once a year?

ok I'll raise your one quote and raise you two

"Absolutely. Absolutely. I want to stay active, I want to fight again in 2012 before the year is up; I want to constantly go out there, like I said before, and test my skills and I want to continue to just push myself to the limit."

Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26KOs) is looking to fight five more times before retiring from the sport. Mayweather, 35-years-old, returns on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He faces WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (37-2, 30KOs). Mayweather wants to have at least two fights per year, which puts him on the path to retirement at age 37. On June 1, Mayweather will report to the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas to spend 87 days in jail for a domestic abuse charge. He wants to take another fight in the fall.

"Safe to say, probably -- this one [with Cotto], plus five more. And of course, I'm probably not looking to fight six strong champions," Mayweather told David Mayo of the Grand Rapids Press. "I'm a lot older now, you know what I'm saying?"

ok then, let's just wait (maybe for another 2 months) and see which of us would be right. if until october of this year and floyd still has no fight announcement, then it's safe to assume that he would be fighting only once for 2012.

Bob Arum knows the clock is ticking. He knows Pacquiao is not as good as he was a few years ago. He knows if the fight is not made now it won't get made. Someone such as Martinez or Alvarez is going to replace Pacquiao as the guy to fight Mayweather. He'll lose out on millions, for himself and Pacquiao. More importantaly his repuation will take a hit if he can't put his biggest name in the biggest money making event in the sport
