Arum is banking on the mental edge of Mayweather going to jail. Look at the options Arum is giving Mayweather. Either he fights Pac a week before he goes to jail or 2 months after he is released.

If they negotiate for November and have it signed sealed and delivered. Is Mayweather able to go in earlier then May and serve his sentence Feb 1st?

No...it really doesn't make sense. What if Floyd serves the full term? He'd probably want a tuneup in November or December (understandable). Then we are looking at late first qtr or early second qtr 2013 as the next best date.

    Smart and realistic? Really?

Dude how long would Mayweather have to train given an 87 day sentence starting June 1st? :blood

    ******* math. :bart

I don't follow. The latest he will be out is late August. Make the fight mid November and he still has time for a 10 week training camp. Late Nov and thats 12weeks. Floyd will be in jail but it's not like Pac is in training between fights he is busy with politics all the time.

why does arum feel so sure about november anyway? how confident is he that pac and floyd will look good and win in their respective bouts? how sure is he that floyd comes out of jail on time with no problems whatsoever?

right now, he's saying he'd rather not have the fight unless he can make more money than there already is.

Floyd trains year round. He doesn't have (or depend on) an Ariza type figure to make up gut busting routines and give him wonder shakes, which get him ready in a few mths time. 3 mths in jail breaks his diet and training regimen. He would need time to reestablish his regimen, get back to sparring, etc., to get sharp again. Naturally, he would want a tuneup, and I assume his advisors would urge him to do so.

exactly, FLoyd hasn't stopped training since July. Anybody who workouts or trains knows that Floyd will be much better off in May than in November coming off a break in his regime and his diet. Not to mention the jail part.

funny. I wonder if you think Pac is disadvantaged by the fact that he's a politician now and can't train year round.

    Or more double standards?

I don't think Floyd will do 90 days but if he did don't u think he will want to come out and spend some weeks with his family rather than going straight to camp.

Been thinking this a while. Can't let the mega fight happen after what JMM just did to Pac and Floyd did to JMM. Casual fans don't give two shits about styles make fights.

Exactly! :deal But you won't hear anyone else mention that...

His best chance is right after the jail sentence, but even then I'm not sure if he'd risk it. We'll see.
