Arum has got to be saying, "Thank you, Al Haymon, thank you so much." for saving him from wasting $12 to $17 million (depending on whether he beat GGG) on Chavez in a "GGG plus one" two-fight deal. I hope Haymon's reportedly up to $47 million deal with Jr. pans out for him...

Knowing haymon, he would give Chavez jr. the broner treatment and that is to give him a few soft touches to get the hype back.

I think Jr. was strongly advised against that fight by Haymon.

Lol Chavez Jr after the fight "I thought I won the fight"

Guy is a mess, Haymon must be kicking himself right now. For the most part, haymon has made good business moves and I like pbc, but he dropped the ball with Chavez Jr.

In hindsight taking the Golovkin fight would have been so much better than getting wrecked by a guy with a relatively light rep (vis-a-vis GGG) like Fonfara.

Eh Arum would have gotten plenty of options on Golovkin and the largest share of the PPV sales if that fight came through or would have fed him to Ramirez who he controls (or Ward if he could have signed him) so while he might not have lost money, he also scarcely made the money he could have as well.

Not really. If he took the offer that would have released him from his contract he'd have made less than half of what he did last night.

He made 2.5 mill for getting his a$$ handed to him, by a guy who is not a heavy puncher. Karma for Al. LOL
