arum is right. jmm should prove himself first at weights above 135. jmm should have fought khan instead of katsidis in the first place if he really intends to get pacquiao. they are now separated by two weight class and beating khan would have bridge the gap.

This is still business. The first priority of Arum is profit. He wants it in-house as long as possible. If the fight is needed with a co-promoter, it will be his last option, in which case, JMM and Berto are last options, especially JMM because of hatred with GBP. Moseley is a free agent. Let us assume that a Berto fight can gross higher than Moseley fight. Profit will still be less because there is split of profit between promoters.

A fight against Berto at 147, will determine wwether JMM can hang at 147, personally I don't think he can, if JMM can't beat any WWs, he shouldn't get a fight with Pac.

    Internet warrior? :lol::lol:

You cannot even talk about the issue since you're just a stupid little kid. Tell me EXACTLY why having JMM face another WW is such a bad idea. Put that into writing dip****...if you even can. :patsch

This rather clear piece of logic is lost to the usual idiots unfortunately.

It won't determine how he will fair against PAC. With Pac, he understands how to fight him, already. And Pac won't have more than a few lbs advantage in weight. Sure Pac has carried up his speed and power. But JMM will, more than likely, carry up his recuperative powers with him, as well. That fight will come down to styles, with Pac having the same advantages in youth, speed, size, and power, he has ALWAYS had, in their matchups.

Idiot? OK...genius. Just because you buy that **** Arum is shoveling, doesn't mean those of us, who think more critically, have to. :nono

Okay Bob, lets examine this logic:

Beat Berto and you get a shot at Mosley.

    fine.

But why does Mosley get this logic:

Get Embarrassed By Mayweather + Suck wind against Mora = fight against Pacquiao?

Is it because you are a load of **** and if he did beat Berto you would probably find some Top Rank can for Pacquiao to fight?

Dude....it was a general comment, not to you specifically. If YOU think you fit that despription, and even you must admit there are idiots here, then that's on you.

If you think critically, then you should understand where Arum is coming from, at least a little. JMM would lose to just about all the top jrWW's as well as the top WW's.

So why is it so hard to fathom that one would want to see how JMM faired againt so called other threats to Pac if he's still such a huge threat.

Personally, I just feel Pac has outgrown JMM in size. If JMM thought he could complete with the big guys, he shouldn't have moved back down to 135.

If Marquez really wants it he might take Berto but in the the end it may just be as hard as Pacquiao cos of the size...

Well...you responded with your "general" statement, right after his response to me. So, naturally, I assumed you were lumping me in with this group of "idiots" you referred to. I was just setting the record straight. If my response was misdirected...my bad.

No, I don't follow Arum's logic. I do not think he is concerned about about how non competitive this matchup would be. He is concerned about how competitive it COULD be. Why would they even consider a 140'lber, as an opponent, since most of them, except Bradley, have not even tried their hand at 147? JMM, coming from LW, at least tried...and against the best pure boxer on the planet. Perhaps he did not look as fast or as in shape, as we are used to seeing, but, he came to fight. And he was busy, for 12 rounds, against Floyd. He just took an 'L' to a better fighter, at an unfamiliar weight. He didn't have a soft touch, like Pac did, his first time at the weight.

JMM and Pac is a fight that is attractive, because, of the styles, and their history of close battles. They could make it happen at a C/W or not. Neither guy is coming in over 150 lbs.

Sure, a test against a WW could benefit JMM, as he can get more experience in carrying the extra weight, and, perhaps, with a win, be viewed as more of a challenge for Manny, at that weight. But, it is not a requirement, necessarily. And, obviously, making it a requirement is an afterthought for Team Pac, since they were considering him just recently.

I can understand the confusion. For the record, I don't classify you with the idiots. You can at least put in post an intelligent reposnse, even if I don't agree. That I respect. :thumbsup

There's a lot of truth to this, can't deny. But a lot is built on speculation stemming from each guy weighing in at 130, where they last fought one another. Pac's showed he was able to keep speed and power, while fine tunoing his technique. JMM on the other hand, looks slower and sluggish at 144.

But then again, as you said, they have that style that produces. I'm not against this fight ever happening, but I am not going to fuss over it when JMM might not eevn be able to beat guys Pac has demolished.
