Arum said if the fight doesn't happen March 13, a fight against Floyd will never happen. Arum arrived in the Phillipines this morning and said he has not spoken to Manny, yet, since he is busy filming Wapakman. He says a fight on May 1 is not feasible because Manny has to be at the elections May 10. Arums says if Manny doesn't fight Floyd now, Floyd will never fight him. Roach said on Wednesday a fight on March 13 is no good. Because Pac needs more time to heal from the injuries he suffered against Cotto, specifically his right eardrum which Roach claims is broken.

Isn't 2 months to heal an eardrum enough ? That's the time that would go by before slowly getting back into training...

Why can't these dipshits agree on April? Why does it have to be March or May?

My guess is that Mayweather wants March so Pac has as little time to heal up and train as possible. Otherwise, wtf does it matter to Mayweather since he's been sitting on his ass the whole time anyways?

Manny can't both run for office and fight in March. Or the fight would need to not be aired in the Philippines as long as he's running for office. That's what the real problem is, and that's why it's Manny's LAWYER, not his trainer or his promoter or his manager, who keeps saying that he can't fight before September.

If he's willing to pull out of the election, fight can happen whenever. Manny's ear would be healed in plenty of time to start sparring in late January.

Good . . . then let the fight doesn't happen. What does Pacquiao have to lose . . . money?

Arum cannot held Pacquiao hostage . . . if Pac's gonna fight . . . it should be on his terms and he should be 100%. Bottom line the guy cannot concentrate on any fight prior to that election. :deal

    I don't know about that....

The man's not running to become the new President of the country, he's trying to get a seat in a district...

The official campaign for the seat can't start before March 25th anyways..

Manny has always been able to focus in hectic situations and I actually think the Mayweather fight would boost his campaign.

But I agree, the man still deserves to choose what he wants to do, although he must also understand that it's possibly the only time he'll ever have the chance to cash in like that and most importantly make such a huge fight in the history of the sport...

That's the only thing I can think of as well " I think Arum mentioned that the campaign season starts on the final week of march, so before that March 13th would one of the most ideal times before the elections

Activities for the election doesn't start ONLY at the day of campaigning buddy. Meeting with other parties, organizers and planning eats up a lot of time.

The guy just fought a war few weeks back and these people wants him back in the ring after only 3 months? PERSONNAL MOTIVES are slowly showing up here.

No need to worry about HISTORY . . . he is already assured of being part of it.
