Arum/Top Rank tell Mayweather they will not negotiate with him

I'd like to see the email, but it's not necessary. Nobody is asking for it except you and you're a nobody. If Arum calls them out and asks to see the email, then they should release it, but there's no point.

Arum doesn't want to give Floyd any negotiating leverage. Talk that pac/maq 4 would be the biggest PPV ever, etc.. All calculated on the fly. I could see Arum brushing off GB's first attempt for the same reason. Now that it seems Floyd is ready, make HIM wait.

 

It's logical for him to be disinterested when he has other options. If Pac knocked out Marquez then he's left with no options and would have made the Mayweather fight, there's a reason he finally agreed to the blood tests because he knew there won't be any options after Marquez. It's all about making sure he milked Pacquiao enough and when there's any other option available he will obviously take it.

With Arum aside, I still say a 4th fight will always be demanded regardless of whether the result is decisive or not. As long as fans will keep barking about it, it's a good reason to make the fight.

Good points but I believe Pac as at the end of being a top fighter. He can't do his congress duties and box at top level. At this point I believe he only boxes for votes. If he takes his congressional duties seriously he simply doesn't have the time to devote to training he needs. My opinion anyhow. It is already too late for this fight.

 

I do agree that Pacquiao is on the downside but doubt his congresssional duties are the reasons behind it. If so, I don't think he would have been able to get past DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Mosley, Clottey and have a tough close fight with a 100% motivated and ready Marquez(even though I thought he lost, it's still close). Moving up in weight slowed him down in my opinion and is the reason he doesn't throw as many combinations as he used to. The fact that he went the distance with that insanely motivated version of Marquez proves he still has a lot left to give, if he didn't Marquez would have taken full advantage over it and it would have shown.

Anyone that think it's too late for a Mayweather fight based on his performance against Marquez is making a huge mistake. Fact is, no one looks good against Marquez, especially not Pacquiao and he never looked good against him even in the lower weights where he threw punches like a machine nonstop. He won't look good against Mayweather either if that fight happens. It's their styles that make him look bad. He looked amazing against Cotto and Margarito(despite softening up on him late) and bad against Mosley because Mosley made it look bad.

 

Good points. Given weigh in weights and fight night weights, Pac belongs at 140. I think he stayed at WW for the Mayweather fight/money.

 

I think they stayed at 147 because they had more fights to make there looking at Arum's stable/reach. I don't think the Mayweather fight was a plan at all to be honest especially after Mayweather's delusional demands which came immediately after the Hatton fight and that was at 140 following the DLH fight at 147.

Cash Cow, Protected, fixed fights.
Mosley and Margo told Pac's winning the fight.
Both wanted the pay day.
No way will Arum let Pac fight Mayweather.
Thats why all his demands are unreasonaable.
Meanwhile they market Pac aggressively and create the perception that he is way better than Floyd.
